I adopted a soldier off the Operation Military Support site, I have already written to him to introduce myself. I hope I get a response, I would really like to give some moral support.

I have two packages ready to mail to my adopted marine. I think it's great that you are sending letters to your adopted soldier. I hope he answers your letters.

How do you adopt one? Are all troops listed, or just people who've requested it or who don't have much family? Are they randomly assigned?

I'm gonna adopt the whole military if I can. Especially peeps in Incirlik, Diyabikar, Izmir, and other places in Turkey. You guys are getting no credit, but are doing one hell of a job. And if anyone can hook me up with someone at "the lik" (Incirlik) , I would be very happy, to send letters, stuff, and see how it has changed in the last 23 years.
