Adobe Photoshop and CS

Can anyone help me photo shop an ordinary picture? I just need to cut out two people on the far left, and then enlarge the people who weren't cut out and also brighten it.

I also need to brighten the background of one picture. I would really appreciate this!!!!

I have absolutely no knowledge regarding photoshopping and do not have the program. These two pictures are to be sent to Disney as a surprise for our girlfriends. Thank you ahead of time!!

PS: Just PM me with your email and I will email over the two pictures.

^ Is there anyway to make it so that his head is not as tilted? Maybe cut out some parts and make the whole picture kind of slanted? Sorry if this sounds silly to you guys!

^ Is there anyway to light up the two people more and make it more noticable? The background seems to be too bright

I know this is a big request, but I really regret not taking a photoshop course back in high school learning all the basics! Can anyone help me out? Thanks again

How is this?

I have to go out soon so this is just a quicky. Please provide the full size files for whomever does the editing.

I did not do much work with the arm that was behind the girl...
If nobody else volunteers sooner I can work on them tomorow.

Wow, thank you so much. It looks a lot better than before.

These are the 4 pics that need editing. If anyone can help me out, feel free to send me a PM with your email address so I can send you the full sized pictures.

They offer Photshop basics in highschool now??? :guilty:

NICE!! Im jealous.

Wow, what a great photoshop challenge! I think I did pretty good, but some others may do better. Here is what I have. I did the second, third and fourth ones since the first one was done a bit already. I'll work on that a bit too.

I like these types of posts because it gives me real stuff to get more practice on. It's fun to see what can be done.

Ok, here is the first one. Quite a bit tougher an assignment, but I think it came out ok. I also got rid of the date on the pic. Let me know if you want the dates on the others deleted as well. That is an easy fix.

the basics of photoshop, like what was needed in these photos, are easy to learn. The problem is you need time to practice...

I agree. I also need something to do with the photos. I have a hard time finding projects from my own pics so I enjoy helping others with their pics. The Scott Kelby book "The photoshop elements 5 book for digital photographers" helps alot too!

Once upon a time there were instruction on how to turn a picture black and white and then take a tool and put the color back for certain parts that you want....I can't find them Please help!!

Thanks!

this is a link i have for it. basically you can make a duplicate layer,, on the top layer select and erase the part you want b&w or color( which ever is least, ) convert one of the layers to b&w....make the bottom layer the opposite of the top layer,ie if you erased what you want b&w make the bottom layer b&w and the top color or if you erased what you want color, make the bottom layer color and the top b&w) then merge so the bottom layer will show through the part you erased.
there are a number of ways to convert to b& w, if you have pse5 it has a conversion . if not go to color, saturation and desaturate it. or you can get virtual photographer for free and it has a bunch of b&w type conversion filters. some editors under "images" also have a place to turn it to grayscale.

Okay this is a really REALLY easy way to do it.

1) change it to grayscale, to do that go to the Image menu at the top. Mode, then Grayscale.
2)Then copy the entire image, hit control A then Control C
3) then undo the grayscale, hit control, alt, z, do this twice to get back to the color image.
4)Then go over to the layers window, if you do not see it go up to the Window menu then to show layers, if it says hide layers, then it is already open. In the layers window create a new blank layer on top of the color layer to do this hit the icon at the bottom that looks like a sheet of paper with a folded corner,
5) then paste the b/w copy by hitting control v.
6) Then simply select the eraser tool, and erase away the b/w layer where you want the color to show through.

Good Luck.

OR

Desaturate the image.
Select the History Brush on the action BEFORE the desaturate (on the history panel)
Then paint the color back on the image with the history brush. You may have to zoom way in to get all the details but it works.

in paint shop pro it's simple.

1. edit -copy
2. edit -paste as new layer
3. convert the new layer to B&W
4 using the eraser ...erase whatever you want to be in color
5. layers merge.

What are the different versions of photoshop available...ie CS2 etc...

How are they different?

TIA
