***Admit It Wednesday***

I have a phobia of talking on the telephone especially to someone I don't know.

Born and raised in the deep south and I cannot stand sweet tea or any tea, coffee or sweet potatoes.

That is too funny!!!

I am a little obsessive compulsive when it pertains to the handling of food. :teeth: I also use disposable gloves when handling raw meats because the thought of touching it makes me feel queasy.

In my younger, bar-hopping days, I used to use the men's restroom when the women's line was really long.

Didn't matter if guys were in there or not, if there was an open stall, my friends and I just barged on in. :cool1:

1. I once wrote a letter to US Weekly complimenting an article written about Britney Spears, who at that time didn't have a driver's license and had "Baby One More Time" on the charts. I said, "Thanks for showing that nice girls don't always finish last." They printed it. WTH was I thinking? :sad2:

2. I have absolutely no sense of smell. I can't recognize the smell of an orange from that of gas. It's a plus living with my husband...

3. If I were on Survivor and my food reward was: meatloaf; White Castles; beets; yams or raisins, I'd eat that nasty rice and ants instead.

does this affect how you taste food? Doesn't lack of smell make it hard to identify food?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Lol Guess you can't do my job. I am a 911 dispatcher.

It's better now that it used to be, but I used to absolutely fear swimming in the deep part of pools because I thought a huge alligator would come chomp on me.

Thanks, Hollywood. lol

I have no sense of smell and don't remember ever having one. The only things I can "smell" are substances like ammonia (it has to be right up at my nose). I honestly don't know if it has affected my taste because I have nothing to compare it to.

Technically, it's called anosmia. I can smell, I think, I just never learned how to recognize what smells are attributed to what sources. I can taste, but it's a little off, so mostly I just eat by texture. I've never had a sense of smell, so I don't miss it!
