She would love nothing more than for us to get her an agent and auditioning for roles, but I really want her to be a kid and have a regular school experience in HS, she only has a few years left. She has plenty of time to pursue acting. Her school has an amazing performing arts program, she made it into the ensemble for Mama Mia which as a freshman is a big feat as there's tough competition for roles.Ugh, I'm so sorry for him and the other kids in that choir. I'm sure they're all very sad about having to cancel the trip. I'm glad he's able to join you on your little trip to Tampa. At least he has something to look forward to and keep him occupied. The son of a guy I used to work with was singing/acting in NYC for a few years as a child/teenager. He was accepted in to a program at Julliard for HS kids and did that for a year (I think...he might have left that program after a few months). In addition to stage shows, he also did a few commercials and independent movies. I loved seeing pictures of him with the celebrities he worked with and also seeing pictures of him on the red carpet at the Tony Awards. His family moved to Los Angeles about 2 years ago so he could pursue his acting career there. Good luck to your daughter in pursuing her dream!
We did stop by Mandrake and several other shops in Akihabara as my son was looking for some Anime figures. The one shop where we saw a fair amount of 2nd hand Disney merchandise was Book-off (sp??) in Akihabara. I think it might be a chain like Don Quixote and Yodobashi so there might be locations closer to the parks too.Do you know of other places in Tokyo to find good merchandise, outside of the parks, especially resale type places? When we went in 2018, we did go to Nakano Broadway which was fun. I know Akihabara has places too, but don't know specifics other than Mandrake.
wine - mostly white (Savi B or Chardonnay). Occasionally red (I'm lookin at you Skywalker Pinot Noir)
beer - not much of a beer drinker but I like it to be light (in colour haha). Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc is one I enjoy.
cocktails - have recently gotten into ginbeen avoiding it most of my adult life but then I had a cocktail about a year ago made with Empress Gin and HELLLLLLLO world! So yes, Empress or Hendricks, please. Recently tried the Aviation gin (Ryan Reynolds brand) but not really impressed...tastes more like vodka to me lol
Congratulations to your daughter! Our HS did Mamma Mia this year as well! And after not doing a musical for the last 2 years (no show in 2021 due to Covid restrictions and the director chose to do three 1-act plays instead of a musical for many reasons in 2022), Mamma Mia was a pretty aggressive show to choose for our school. Our daughter had played Pugsly in The Addams Family her freshman year so she was hoping for a similar role in whatever show they would do this year. She was not happy when Mamma Mia was the show. She didn't like the story line or any female characters. Long story short(er), she was cast as the understudy for Rosie and ended up taking on the understudy role for Donna and Tanya as well when the understudies for those roles both quit because they didn't get cast in actual roles. She was also cast in the ensemble which she was happy with. The director ended up making her the featured singer in the ensemble. She sang a duet with Donna for "Slipping Through My Fingers" and sang part of "I Do, I Do, I Do" as a soloist (the director created the role of "wedding singer" for her to do that). And the cast awarded her the Gypsy Robe for the show. So it all worked out great for her.She would love nothing more than for us to get her an agent and auditioning for roles, but I really want her to be a kid and have a regular school experience in HS, she only has a few years left. Stop! That is criminal.Don’t laugh. None of the above.
Black as can be. Butterfly that filet and cook it like shoe leather and then leave it on a bit more until it is charcoaled.
Hands down - dirty martini - vodka (grey goose) - blue cheese olives (3) ...Since steak is one of the topics...let's talk about booze (again!)...haha
What's your choice of poison? Wine? Cocktail? Shots only? Beer? (IPAs lovers are always welcome here!)
What kind of wine do you like?
Do you make cocktails at home? What are some of your favorite or most interesting concoction?
Let's throw Disney into this too...what is your #1 place to have a drink and chill at WDW? You can only choose ONE!
I drink more cocktails when I'm out and 'bout, but more wine at home. I like mostly riseling, savu blanc, champagne/sparkling wine. If I'm having a steak, I will most likely have either Malbec or Bordeaux blend. Not a huge fan of Cabernet, but will try it if someone recommends a bottle to me.
During the pandemic, I have made some interesting drinks at home. My favorite is probably this one - Soju, Lime flavored sparkling water (or club soda if you don't want it sweet), and a Melona Melon popsicle (any flavor you like) IN the drink! YUM!!
I would say Geyser Point at WL is probably my favorite place to have an afternoon bevvie and hang out. Although I have heard Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Coronado is also a great spot! We haven't been, so probably will check it out next time!

Yes, I love packing cubes. I like opening my bag and having it being nice and organized. Most trips, other than a few cruises are carry-on only.My question today is do you like packing cubes? I love them you can smoosh so much more stuff in them and they keep my suitcase so organized. We typically only use carry on when traveling no matter how long the trip.
Never travel without packing cubes - whenever I have a trip that requires luggage. My question today is do you like packing cubes? I love them you can smoosh so much more stuff in them and they keep my suitcase so organized. We typically only use carry on when traveling no matter how long the trip.

I'm a packing cube fan. When my children were younger, everyone had an assigned packing cube color. My question today is do you like packing cubes? At that point, you might as well as eat actual shoe leather! It'll taste exactly the same as whatever it was before you got your hands on it.Don’t laugh. None of the above.

I used to eat it medium but while pregnant the doc said not to. I have never went back. When something comes out with a little pink, I struggle to get it down.
Empress is pretty good! I love cocktails that are made with it. I agree Aviation is alright....btwhad a cocktail about a year ago made with Empress Gin and HELLLLLLLO world!
