love blue bayou-always was a must do when we went to
disneyland. i was so jealous of family who lived in southern california b/c back in the 70's you could order food from park restaurants and they would leave your name at the front gate so you could enter free to pick it up-had an aunt and cousin who frequently did blue bayou to go. so many of the places that i remember enjoying as a kid are long gone-frito lay place (pretty good mexican food), aunt jemima's pancake house for mickey shaped pancakes, and a quick snack at the chicken of the sea pirate ship.
i honestly miss the much more laid back disneyland of my youth-it was more relaxing and laid back. i liked the characters wandering around the parks and interacting with guests, i miss the great big disneyland sign that was in the parking lot, i miss that the first 'ride' we got on was always the little shuttles in the massive parking lot that was still surrounded by farming fields.
