Again DH would love a bidet (all that travel got in his head). Guess where there was a bidet? Marriott World Center Orlando Imperial Palms units. So we had DS sit on it and I so wish it weren't uncool to take photos. His face was priceless. He was once and done.

We just did some bathroom work - DH (heated toilet guy) wanted heated floors. When the contractor told us the price I said OH HECK NO (staying on topic of saving money for vacation). We did have them install the electrical for his Heated Towel Rack (way too many weeks spent working in London).
I definitely agree, so as much as my always cold self might want heated everything I would have a hard time paying the high prices for some of those items. I try to keep my remodels reasonable so I’m not pricing my house out of what is comparable with other houses in my neighborhood.

I stayed in a suite at Nobu (in Caesar's Palace) and it had a Japanese style smart toilet. Bidet, heat, opened and closed when you came and went, auto flushed....pretty cool and creepy...

While I don’t love IPAs, the real offense is a stout. I can’t even manage a mouthful. Literally don’t know why anyone wants to drink actual sludge.

Those taste like a raw steak in a blender. I tease my husband about that because he likes them a lot. They seriously taste like blood to me. I can't.

curious-what is 'cheap vegas'? i well remember 'cheap tahoe' back in my youth-the minute you turned 21 it was ROAD TRIP to the land where free liquor was handed out 24/7, you could drink said free liquor walking down the street and a group of 5 friends with $20 each could score a small but relatively clean motel room and avail themselves of pennies on the dollars buffets and small change slots ::yes::
Cheap Vegas for us was when food on the strip was pretty affordable, especially buffets! Most buffets were like $20-30 and if you did the $30 ones they were already somewhat fancy. Unlike now every restaurant on the strip is pretty much about $40-50+ pp (assuming you get a drink + entree), buffets are average $50-70+ pp. Fremont street had all kinds of cheap eats! Anyone remember the $1.50 hot dog, $1 fried oreo, $1 fried twinkies, $3 bratwurst...etc.?? Then for drinks there were those hole in a wall casino that makes fishbowl drinks for $10. Not that I fully enjoyed those snack foods or drinks, but they were at least available.
Free alcohol at casinos aren't flowing as much as they used to.

Cheap Vegas was basically Cheap Tahoe on a bigger scale. Cheap buffets and steak specials, cheap drinks, cheap rooms. Lots of penny slots and low limit tables.
^^Yep Yep!! Most of the buffets on the strip these days aren't worth it IMO.

The only buffets left really are $$$$$ I'm annoyed because we had Wynn buffet paid for by using My Vegas Rewards for a trip
DH and I play MyVegas too!! I had gotten some free show tix, buffets and heavily discounted rooms from them! When we first started playing years ago, my cousin and his wife and all their friends played a lot, and they were able to redeem free suites, free buffets, free shows!!! This was when they just started and literally had almost no restrictions on redemption. They pooled their points together to get everything and anything free! So basically they only thing they paid out of pocket was airfare and gambling money. It was insane!!

I don't like any beer you need a knife and fork to use to consume it :rotfl2:

Choffy....oh my lawd....is that a coffee you chew? The rabbit hole on this thread is endless and I'm lovin' every minute of it!

I stayed at a hotel with scented toilet paper in January and I was like WHAT is this this is literally not even HEALTHY.
I don't even know why they would make that! Although there are scented maxi pads....so I guess it's only fair if TP is also scented?!? LOL!! 🤪🤣 :rotfl:But I'm curious...which hotel was that?! lol!

No to the scented toilet paper, but I will have to say after traveling to Japan I would really love to have a Japanese toilet in my next bath remodel. Two words: heated seat.
We don't have the full Toto but we do have just the seats from Costco! Super easy to install as long as you have an outlet near the toilet!

I've never used one so it'll be quite the first experience. Now all I think of is when the pandemic first started and people were buying up bidet attachments due to the toilet paper shortage :rotfl2:
It is life changing I tell ya!! Ours is pretty basic, it doesn't have all the fancy functions but it has all the essentials and get the job done. The heated seat is what I love the most!

Don't forget the free smokes!!! Yes, you heard me!

Ah yeah! That was when my husband racked up a ton of points too back before they made it so you gotta pay. My husband did the app a lot in 2019.

That March 2021 that was supposed to be April 2020 was comped nights from the My Vegas app so we had to wait and wait and wait to see if they would honor redemptions made that couldn't be completed due to everything being shut down. Months later they did decide to honor everything that they could.

For December 2021 trip we cashed in a free night for the Bellagio from My Vegas combining it with a comp/price deal from Wynn/Encore. Mostly we use the app for drinks these days. We really like this one place (low key) in Mandalay Bay but there's also a more hopping one in MGM IIRC we go to to get drinks. I remember though using it in 2019 (when it was still really good) we used it for Zumanity.

Yes, at the very beginning the rewards were pretty sweet. The room rewards included the top suites at the Mirage, the evening buffets at Aria and Bellagio, several of the Cirque shows.

I won't stay anywhere other than the Cosmopolitan .... so yup ...
*pulls on his suspenders and lets them snap*

No, which I realize is a travesty :rotfl2: But I plan to rectify that in June - no meals, just snacks after snacks after snacks :teeth:
Please report back after your trip! DH and I have always liked DL churros more. It's hilarious because it's just FROZEN CHURROS!! 🤣 we love it so much that we did some digging and found out which frozen churros they use. We wanted to buy a box to try it but at the time the store near us only sold the box of 48!! Our freezer at the time wouldn't fit that box and we were waiting for holiday parties to come around so that would be the perfect time to try them. Then the pandemic....and we haven't really checked since then...But now I think we have a new task this weekend! 😜

LOVE a good peanut butter stout...one of our local breweries makes a delicious one
We had a PB stout that's from AZ, so good!! I can't remember the name of the brewery, have to ask DH!
