Good moooorning Dis friends!
Happy Monday! Back to the grind and continue to daydream all our future vacation

Oh no...I'm sorryI went to get some fried chicken tonight, and the place I went to usually has good chicken. But then I heard a couple of the cooks arguing about not setting timers on the pressure fryers. They served the chicken, anyway. Ugh...

Nothing too exciting. Just working. I do need to watch last night's 90 day Fiance episode later today - I missed my weekly trash yesterday! What's everyone up to today? I'm finishing cleaning. Ugh, you never realize how much there is until you know someone's coming over!
For those that don't know, I'm a SAHM and I homeschool DD11. Fun times! (seriously).![]()
I think everyone secretly enjoys a bit of trashy TV. I remember being temporarily mortified when my husband outed my trashy viewing habits to a group of friends at a dinner party.Nothing too exciting. Just working. I think so too. My friend was the one that introduced me to 90 Day and now I'm fully into the entire 90 Day cinematic universe (all of the spinoffs minus Family Chantel because that one is kinda boring). Darcey and Stacy is a little too trashy though. It makes me cringe every week lolI think everyone secretly enjoys a bit of trashy TV. We switched from cable to all streaming and antenna because we never watched. Every so often I miss it. I had to watch the NCAA tournament on my )laptop.Does anyone here watch Tournament of Champions on Food Network? The finally was last night. It was SO GOOD. Best cooking competition show ever. Hands down.
We are still watching!Anyone else watching American Idol?
Yes, that's correct. I have no life!
I was sad about zzzz. They should have just let her go in the beginning! We are still watching!![]()

Oh no...I'm sorryWell...on the up side at least you didn't get raw chicken!! That would be really bad...

I'm guessing I'm thinking of the same person. I agree with you. Hoping for a better life for them.I was sad about zzzz. They should have just let her go in the beginning!
ETA: crap I hope that wasn't a spoiler. Took her name out lol
If you're talking about who I'm thinking about, I hope she has found some confidence. I was rooting for her but her vocals weren't as good as some of the others.I was sad about zzzz. They should have just let her go in the beginning!

watched stacy and darcy for a couple of seasons-got to be too much. chantel and familyOMG I also watch that! I have been watching that franchise for awhile now. We don't subscribe to Discovery+ anymore so I am very behind! I did watch a couple of episodes at the hotel during our last trip.
Do you guys watch any of the spinoffs? Like Stacy and her sister? Chantel and her family?
And I'm supposed to have jury duty on Wednesday--here's hoping it's cancelled like last time.
This is so true!! DH and I both watch RHOA. I don't watch any of the other locales in the franchise. I find the ladies in Atlanta to be so entertaining.
My rope drop days are behind me sadly. We used to RD when the boys were young, and they also wanted to head straight to the parks when we landed. No early morning or red eye flights for us though. The only park that we might rope drop on this next trip might be HS, as I still haven’t made it on ROTR. My last trip was in May 2021 when park attendance was still limited, only Disney raised the attendance limit right before our trip so we ended up not getting a boarding group. I do try to plan most trips, not just Disney around slower seasons. I like to split the parks other than AK over a couple of days, and enjoy plenty of quieter meals. That’s a big part of why I like HBD, and getting out of MK.Love that!Slow down and enjoy where you are! Our Disney trips these days are kinda similar to yours now that we are older. We just expect parks to be busy all the time, so that at least there won't be as much disappointment. But I still try to plan our trips around the "crowd calendar" though, just because there's still SOME truth to it. We avoid MK Sat/Sun, and if we are staying longer than a week, Saturday is usually our non-park day to do whatevers.
DH and I agree upon each park day, which rides are must do (usually just a handful) + shows, and if we can do more, that's bonus. We definitely aren't doing Disney like we were in our 20s anymore! We can't! Physically, it's just draining and we know if we try to push it and "make it worth it" (we don't have AP), it will just bite us in the behind!!We now understand and appreciate the importance of a quality Disney vacation (or any vacation for that matter). We rather do less, but enjoy everything we do, and not get ourselves exhausted. It's a vacation! It SHOULDN'T be exhausting, that's just wrong. We don't rope drop anymore either, not really necessary for us. EXCEPT the two times when we got Group 2 for both Guardians and ROTR! (patting myself on the back! haha!) We had to rush to get ready and headed to the park right away!! For ROTR, our call back time was before HS even opened! I seriously thought we could go back to sleep for at least an hour not expecting we would be able to get anything in the early morning. But I won't complain! It was very nice just walking on both rides first thing in the AM. I would do that again and again!
A friend of mine, have 2 boys both under 10 and the last time they went to WDW, they flew into MCO on a redeye, then went straight to MK!!I was like...are you insane?! That sounds like torture to me! Unless someone pays me enough, otherwise that's a heck no!
On parks days, since we aren't in a rush to get to the parks, I like to have my coffee on our balcony (if we have one) and take our time. We definitely like to find a nice spot for an afternoon break. We wanted to check out that lounge at the Gran Destino last trip, but didn't make it over there. It will be on our list for sure next time! Btw, we did visit RIV and enjoyed the Riva bar by the pool! We met a CM that was a CP years ago like us, and he also met his wife during their CPs days, made a connection with him so that was pretty neat!
I used to watch Jerry every day during my break between classes in college, it was crazy fun!
