Easier week for me, since the HS is on break. My youngest does dual enrollment, so he has calculus at the college 5 days a week, then needs to get to HS. Did I mention he doesn't have a driver's license? so, a-taxiing I go! And he doesn't have to go to the college tomorrow, since he has an exam that he can take from home. No dance or scouts for him, as well this week.

OTOH, the cat has to go to the vet today (and he's a nervous cat--getting him into the carrier will be a real workout). And I'm supposed to have jury duty on Wednesday--here's hoping it's cancelled like last time. Luckily, DH works from home and can take the campus run if needed.

Next week will suck, DH will be away on a business trip. This is why I never went back to work--someone needs to run things here.

I went to get some fried chicken tonight, and the place I went to usually has good chicken. But then I heard a couple of the cooks arguing about not setting timers on the pressure fryers. They served the chicken, anyway. Ugh...

Oh no...I'm sorry 🥺 Well...on the up side at least you didn't get raw chicken!! That would be really bad...🤢

What's everyone up to today? I'm finishing cleaning. Ugh, you never realize how much there is until you know someone's coming over!

For those that don't know, I'm a SAHM and I homeschool DD11. Fun times! (seriously). :)
Nothing too exciting. Just working. I do need to watch last night's 90 day Fiance episode later today - I missed my weekly trash yesterday!

I think everyone secretly enjoys a bit of trashy TV. I remember being temporarily mortified when my husband outed my trashy viewing habits to a group of friends at a dinner party. 🫣

This is so true!! DH and I both watch RHOA. I don't watch any of the other locales in the franchise. I find the ladies in Atlanta to be so entertaining. Years ago when DH got sucked into watching he told me to NEVER divulge to our friends that he watches that show with me. I, of course, took that as a challenge and always find a way to bring up that little factoid in convos with friends just to embarrass him. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I think so too. My friend was the one that introduced me to 90 Day and now I'm fully into the entire 90 Day cinematic universe (all of the spinoffs minus Family Chantel because that one is kinda boring). Darcey and Stacy is a little too trashy though. It makes me cringe every week lol

Does anyone here watch Tournament of Champions on Food Network? The finally was last night. It was SO GOOD. Best cooking competition show ever. Hands down.

We switched from cable to all streaming and antenna because we never watched. Every so often I miss it. I had to watch the NCAA tournament on my )laptop. :(

🤣😂🤣😂 I mean...that's not the wrong description for some of them...🤭
I am fully guilty of enjoy watching trashy reality shows...the trashiest one of all that I used to watch...Jersey Shores!! I have a few family members are from jersey and they got me into it. They are more like dumpster 🔥 lol!

OMG I also watch that! I have been watching that franchise for awhile now. We don't subscribe to Discovery+ anymore so I am very behind! I did watch a couple of episodes at the hotel during our last trip.
Do you guys watch any of the spinoffs? Like Stacy and her sister? Chantel and her family?
watched stacy and darcy for a couple of seasons-got to be too much. chantel and family :crazy2: no thank you! i see that pedro's mom is going to be on the new season coming up soon.

the spin offs i like are 'david and annie' and 'loren and alexi'.

the relationship i'm happy to see is still working out is 'coltie's' mom debby and her canadian sweetie tony. i LOVED it when he stood up for her against colt at the last reunion.
And I'm supposed to have jury duty on Wednesday--here's hoping it's cancelled like last time.

speaking of juries-the jury in the lori vallow case has been selected and opening arguments start today. our local news stations cover idaho so we've been watching this unfold since day one. i'm curious to learn what chad's wife died from-her autopsy after they exhumed her has remained sealed (though it's rumored to be asphyxia). i'm wondering if his adult kids are going to continue to stick by him as more information is revealed (he had lori's 2 murdered children buried in his backyard-how do you excuse that behavior from your parent?) it's going to be a busy time for the idaho courts-lori is up first, her husband chad will likely be some time later in the year, and kohberger's (university of idaho student killings) preliminary trial is in june.

it's reported that newly divorced cynthia will make a couple of return appearances as well as KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN::yes::🍸

Love that!👍 Slow down and enjoy where you are! Our Disney trips these days are kinda similar to yours now that we are older. We just expect parks to be busy all the time, so that at least there won't be as much disappointment. But I still try to plan our trips around the "crowd calendar" though, just because there's still SOME truth to it. We avoid MK Sat/Sun, and if we are staying longer than a week, Saturday is usually our non-park day to do whatevers.

DH and I agree upon each park day, which rides are must do (usually just a handful) + shows, and if we can do more, that's bonus. We definitely aren't doing Disney like we were in our 20s anymore! We can't! Physically, it's just draining and we know if we try to push it and "make it worth it" (we don't have AP), it will just bite us in the behind!!😵 We now understand and appreciate the importance of a quality Disney vacation (or any vacation for that matter). We rather do less, but enjoy everything we do, and not get ourselves exhausted. It's a vacation! It SHOULDN'T be exhausting, that's just wrong. We don't rope drop anymore either, not really necessary for us. EXCEPT the two times when we got Group 2 for both Guardians and ROTR! (patting myself on the back! haha!) We had to rush to get ready and headed to the park right away!! For ROTR, our call back time was before HS even opened! I seriously thought we could go back to sleep for at least an hour not expecting we would be able to get anything in the early morning. But I won't complain! It was very nice just walking on both rides first thing in the AM. I would do that again and again!
A friend of mine, have 2 boys both under 10 and the last time they went to WDW, they flew into MCO on a redeye, then went straight to MK!!😮 I was like...are you insane?! That sounds like torture to me! Unless someone pays me enough, otherwise that's a heck no!

On parks days, since we aren't in a rush to get to the parks, I like to have my coffee on our balcony (if we have one) and take our time. We definitely like to find a nice spot for an afternoon break. We wanted to check out that lounge at the Gran Destino last trip, but didn't make it over there. It will be on our list for sure next time! Btw, we did visit RIV and enjoyed the Riva bar by the pool! We met a CM that was a CP years ago like us, and he also met his wife during their CPs days, made a connection with him so that was pretty neat!
My rope drop days are behind me sadly. We used to RD when the boys were young, and they also wanted to head straight to the parks when we landed. No early morning or red eye flights for us though. The only park that we might rope drop on this next trip might be HS, as I still haven’t made it on ROTR. My last trip was in May 2021 when park attendance was still limited, only Disney raised the attendance limit right before our trip so we ended up not getting a boarding group. I do try to plan most trips, not just Disney around slower seasons. I like to split the parks other than AK over a couple of days, and enjoy plenty of quieter meals. That’s a big part of why I like HBD, and getting out of MK.

Busy week this week.

My favorite reality show is Restored on Magnolia network. Really. I could watch a marathon. That maybe doesn’t count though.
