Yet Another Grand Exit. The offended/ angry poster makes a big show of “leaving” the thread, but often keeps coming back to interject one more thing. 😂. I learned about a YAGE right here on the Dis a loooong time ago. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one.
I was one of the one's that got interjected upon in responding to @HopperFan ... but I do like the YAGE term, also new to me

Love it rhymes with rage.

The thread about being moved from BWI to BC had multiple YAGE. He finally really did move on. I think he was just worn out lol.
I'm not sure but didn't he just join to post about his reservation?

Another Chicago area native who is THRILLED that Portillo’s has expanded. When I first moved here, I used to joke with my family that I went back to visit 70% because I missed them and 30% because I missed the food near Chicago.

I love ice cream, gelato of course, Dole Whips all day, but a lot of milk shakes are not for me.

Oh my .... I think I'm going to need some heavy duty armor. When I used to be on other social media I followed lots of Orlando locals and they were all about the new Portrillos. So one trip I was staying right down the street and we were avoiding dinner in parks so we went. I don't think I'll ever go back.

I've never been to fast food with so many employees that took SO long to get our food, the most basic of foods. Everyone working was angry and screaming at each other. The place was built so that it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. It was dirty. Everything was sold separate and by time we had 2 drinks, 2 fries and 2 burgers we could have eaten at much nicer place. The food was mediocre and not hot. I didn't want to return it because I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes. Perhaps FL doesn't know how to do it but the cost was way too much for what we got. I mean I'm a NJ Boardwalk / NYC gal so I am fine with "street" food but there was nothing about it to make me want to return. :tilt:

I hadn’t opened that thread but just went to read it now. I would be curious if he enjoys his trip.

I have never been to the Portillo’s in Orlando so I can’t comment. I am happy that I finally have a local, non-chain place that does Vienna beef so I can get my Chicago fix now much closer to home.

To stay sort of on topic with travel, does anyone else like to visit grocery stores or food markets when they travel? I really like to see what is available in different places.

They don't have that that I am aware of. Sounds like State fair food booth food.

go to the texas roadhouse in elk grove or citrus heights-their deep fried pickles are great! they are also VERY generous with ranch dressings and other dipping sauces (and no additional charge dine in or to go for them).
