Tulum is great for those sites as well! (it's a big area for it)

We actually have a small site at our hotel

I hope your cruise is a great one :goodvibes I'm having to temper how many archeological sites to pick for excursions for our Europe cruise so many great ones
Thank you and those ruins look so cool! I took a course on Mesoamerican history in college and loved it - it was very interesting to me. I actually bought the textbooks I rented for class so I could read through them at home.

For Tulum my family and I are doing a ruin tour + swimming in a cenote, so almost identical to your tour. I'm a little nervous about cruising since its unknown territory to me but I think it'll be nice.

I haven't cruised in forever and neither has my husband so we're like newbies there but I've been picking up a lot of stuff here on the Boards even though our company isn't Royal or DCL and YouTube and dedicated FB pages amazing to learn stuff.

I think the cenote is fun, that's something my husband was really looking forward too so I'm glad we did it. I want to say the water was listed as average of 71 or so degrees, it was cold at first but easy to get used to and refreshing after being hot and sticky all day lol although you do a quick shower with water to wash off before you go into the cenote. They typically require life vests due to the depth. They did at ours.

So the 15th we did Isla Mujeres. Took a ferry right by our hotel and had pre-reserved golf carts (two 4-person ones).

Photo of all of us

We drove first thing to Punta Sur (southern point) as that gets busy quick. There's a small admission fee for the cliff area but not bad.

On our way out of the south point we stopped to get mango with tamarind which was good but different

Once we left there we went to Soggy Pesos which is a popular hole in the wall place and had to snap some photos of local to us items

We shopped and had some smoothies and ice cream then dropped off the golf carts and took the ferry back.

Continued on next post..

“Ope, let me squeeze right past you” is the Minnesotan excuse me.

Oh so games my family's game was Farkle (like Yatzee) played with money (coins). My grandfather would make the triangle shaped boards with leather and pool felt along with the cup.

Electronic games it was Mall Madness and Dream Phone (exact versions pictured below)

I can't say I ever played Mall Madness or Dream Phone, but who remembers Mystery Date???? I was so excited to get this game for Christmas one year. Now looking at the price for it on Ebay, I wish I had kept it!

Just to make OP happy, how can you afford such a great vacation and still not be a billionaire? You must not have a car payment. Sorry, I had to.

It looks amazing. great photos.

We're cruising on Celebrity and my parents recently did a cruise with them in September so I'm trusting their knowledge! (albeit, it is a different ship). I've only ever been on a Royal Caribbean ship but that was SOOO long ago.

Water temperature doesn't bother me. I'll swim in water that's freezing cold! I've done polar plunge charity events in the past.
