I am at a loss. I am trying to redecorate the kids bth and came up with a cute idea which involves puttng real flip flops around the mirror as a frame. The problem is I can not get the flip flops to stay on the mirrow. I have tried adhesive velcro, and the 3m stuff that goes witht he hooks . Neither are working. Can anyone give me ideas of what I can use to stick these rubber flip flops to the mirror

Gorilla glue, E6000 or Hot glue

but those are going to be permanent adhesives, which you will need due to the high moisture content in the bathroom.

does the mirror have a frame? Could you hang the flip flops on the wall above the edge of the mirror instead?

Good idea, I will try the Gorilla glue over the adhesive on the velcro I am attaching to the flip flop. The flip flps are cheap so when I redecorate I will throw them away. On the mirror I will just use the velcor with the adhesive it already has. I guess another option would be to make a temp frame for the mirror and nail the flip flops to the frame. I guess I have a progect to work on.

That's always the way it is, something simple turns out to be a royal pain.

If you use the gorilla glue remember that it does expand a lot.

So the velcro was sticking to the mirror but not the shoes?
It sounds like a cute project, I hope you will share pictures when you are done.

I finally got around to trying the Gorilla glue. It worked. I used it to attached the velcro to the flip flops and just the adhesive already on the velcro for the mirror ( this way I can remove it when I redecorate). I put up 3 flip flops yesterday afternoon and they are still up. I guess later this week I will finish the border. Once done I will try to figure out how to post a pic.
