Adhering Sizzix Sizzlit alpha letters

What does everyone use for putting their Sizzix fonts letters on pages? I have a small Xyron X, but it seems to be a real pain to do the tiny letters--any one have any other ideas?

I usually use the xyron but I just bought this little pad of sticky paper at ACMoore over the weekend. I think it is called Dry Bond or something like that. It has sets of a cover sheet and a sticky sheet. The sticky sheet has lots of tiny dots of glue on it. I used it some this weekend - not for letters though. I really liked it and plan to use it the next time I am scrapping with sizzlets letters.

I also take the cartridge out of the x machine and use it that way - easier for me to get the letters in it than trying to get them to slide down the slope in the X.

I learned this at a Sizzix workshop I went to with a Sizzix designer....

FIRST....run the paper you want to use through your Xyron (or your X) and THEN cut them out with your die cutters. It makes them SO much easier to adhere (and to find those silly little dots of the "i's" and all that. It also makes it so the edges of your letters don't leave that gummy trace on things.

I too, got frustrated quickly trying to use the X. Now I use a glue stick. I pick up the letters with the tweezers from my Making Memories tool kit, stick it on the top of the stick, put a little pressure on the letter with my finger and then stick it where I need to.

The xylon usually works for me. Love the idea of putting the paper through first! I have a glue pen that I sometimes use for small letters/cut-outs. I'm not sure of the brand, but my scrapbook store had 3 or 4 to choose from.

i bought the xyron and i feel that it gets too sticky...... so now for all my tiny letters i use a glue pen..... i found it at pat catans.... very cheap and it works great..... vicki

I agree with pp that I think the Xyron makes the letters sticky and gooey. I use my CM photo tape and put some strips of photo tape on the paper before cutting the letters, then when ready I peel off the paper and apply them to my pages. I was really bummed with the Xyron as I too had had this problem and thought it would solve all my issues. I am most pleased with the photo tape, even though I hate to waste it in the areas I don't have letters.

That is genius! YOu just open it, stick them in and then rub like normal? I'm definately goign to try it, I hate dropping them in the chute!

Try running the paper through first. I used to do it the old way (cut the letters, then try like crazy to get the dot from the i to land correctly in the X) and also had a big problem with stickiness. In fact, one time I put on letters, and closed my book to finish later and the glue got all over the pictures on the opposite page! ACK!

But if you run your paper through first, THEN cut....there isnt' the stickiness....and it sounds a lot like josanna's method, just a different source for the adhesive.
