Address to Disney Fairytale weddings

Hi Lynn,

I'm glad you replied as I saw this post last night and even I started to worry about you.

I'm glad your happy and I must say you are not alone in putting a timeline on your life. I also did this but I was planning with Mr wrong so I'm glad I stopped doing it.

We must all learn to take life as it comes :cool1:

Hey Girls!!!!

Thank you soo much for all of your support. I am seriously ok and this is the best decision that I could have made for right now... I am just not ready to get married at all.... Not ready for all the responsibilities financially I honestly don't want to spend all of our hard earned money on a wedding right now when we need to buy things for our apartment first. we want to enjoy living together without having major worries and we want to be able to still do things that young couples do..go on vaction with friends and just have fun..We are so young,23,both of us,I need to focus on what people my age do.

We are looking forward to getting our apartment and starting our life together fir right now....i put a timeline on my life which was absolutely ridiculous,I always said that I have to get married at 23 and have kids at 25,now that I have gotten there it's just not for me right now.

thank you for all your support everybody but honestly this is the smartest decision I have ever made.

I'm soooo glad to hear you're okay. :goodvibes

For being 23, this is an extremely mature decision you've made. I'm happy for you that you're following both your head and your heart. I had all these insane timelines too. And here I am at 28, planning a wedding for when I'm 29(I wanted to be married by 25.) And now that I'm back in school and working full time and I highly doubt that children by 30 deadline will be met either. :hourglass But, I'm okay with the way my life is working out. Just stay positive and everything will work out.

Wow Lynn, you should be so proud of yourself for making such a wise decision. I'm glad that you've decided to wait, if that's best for you.
I'm also very happy to hear that you two are still together and working on starting your lives together for now. You've got a great head on your shoulders!

Reading your "timeline" made me think of my own....I was going to graduate college, be out 1 year, get married, be married for 5 years, have kids, stay home 5 years, then go back to work part time while they were in school.

IN REALITY...I got out of school 22 years ago, met my prince in Mar 2006 and we're doing a SMALL Disney wedding in Oct 2007.

I wouldn't trade him for the world and have always said that "Everything happens for a reason".

So....live your life and have some fun....I think back now about how very young I was at 23....and consider how very wise you are!

 :grouphug:

I am so glad that you are ok.

Happy shopping for that apartment, that is really exciting starting a life together in your home together.:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you are alright, and you are doing what you need to do for your life.

lynn,

i'm so glad that you made this decision at such an early age. it's funny to think that at this time in your life, you're ready to make such a mature decision...i met my fiance when i was 22. he was 31...5 and a half years later we are FINALLY engaged...i prayed for it for all of these years, but it wouldn't have been right! now that it IS right, i'm so grateful! we have lived together for the majority of the last 5 years and it has made us grow to be a solid couple. i'm not even sure of how to describe it...you made the right decision!!! best wishes! enjoy your 20's!!!
