Adding to Existing Reservation Changes

Hello,
I am not sure if this is the right forum to post to but it is about dining so here it goes. We have had our reservations for quite some time and now friends of ours will be down there at the same time we will be. We currently have 5 in our party and now looking to add 3 more. Can I call and add the 3 new people to our existing reservation or do I have to go thru the process again of booking new dining reservation if we want to add them? Because if we have to start from scratch, I am not sure that is a route I want to go because we leave in 35 days. Any advice would be welcomed.

It's generally not especially easy to increase your party size. They'll need to have availability for those additional persons.

I wouldn't recommend showing up with 3 extra people and expecting to have everyone seated.

auroraborealis, we certainly were not going to just show up. Doing that would not be fair to the restaurant staff nor to the other guests that evening. I wanted to do this on the front end not on the fly when we are there.

You can actually try online. Go to your dining reservations and select change. It will let you increase your party size and give you what, if any, times are available near your original time. If that doesn't work, you can try calling.
