Adding tickets to room only...

I've done a search and haven't seen my question. We have room only ressies for March 2022 as I planned on buying the tickets from UT. Since then I've found out buying them (2 day) will be cheaper through Disney than UT. I've tried to add them through MDE, but it keeps adding a resort ressie to my cart along with the tickets, even though we already have that and have paid the deposit (and I did sign in). Don't want to change it to a package, as not all of our party will need tickets, and am really hoping to avoid waiting on hold forever when calling. Is there another way?

You can purchase tickets separately from disneyworld.com/tickets without turning your room reservation into a package.

If you had priced out your resort previously without booking it, it will remain in your cart. Delete the resort reservation from your cart, then add the tickets.

You can't add tickets to a room-only reservation. You have 2 options:
1) purchase the tickets separately from WDW or an authorized reseller
2) call and request a package with tickets, it likely will require cancelling the current room-only and may be a challenge if there aren't rooms still available for your dates.

Buy the ticket from Disney or UT and then add the ticket number to your (or each person's) MDE. Your resort reservation will not be affected.
