Adding parks to MDE plans

A couple of years ago you used to be able to add the park(s) you planned on going to on whatever day you chose in MDE. On the calendar day, it would have the park’s icon. It helped me “visualize” my plans easier. I realize you can look at the fast passes, but I liked the fact you could pencil in specific details as well. It doesn’t look like you can do that anymore, but I was wondering if it was because I have not bought my tickets yet. I’m getting an annual pass later on so didn’t know if having a ticket link up with allowing me to assign a park day, or if they just don’t do that anymore.

I have the same issue - can't add a park in MDE plans. I agree - I would love to be able to look at my plans now instead of waiting for FPP to be booked. My FPP reservation day isn't until 7/4 and I bet parks will automatically be added then. MDE adds the park for you if you have a dining reservation in the park that day but we are not necessarily going to be in the park all day where we have dining.

Exactly. We hop around and occasionally do either hard ticket items or items that don’t have anything to do at all with Disney. Before, I could customize it and do a general timeline. I would organize our entire vacation. We certainly don’t have to stick to it but it gives me an idea of what to expect. Now it looks more like a place to put only reservations and fast passes. That’s too bad they took it away.

I add an event that is happening in the park I want to go to that day, like a parade or fireworks. It acts like a placeholder and then your schedule shows the par,

I liked the other version too, but I did discover last week that in your daily itinerary, MDE adds a park icon + that day's hours after you reserve your initial FPs. Also, you can add a "note" for any miscellaneous plans and select the location, time, details, and the members of your party who are involved. MDE places the "notes" chronologically according to the time you select.

That is so good to hear. I like having all the information at my fingertips, especially the hours of the park. We don’t park hop often, but when we do I used to add information in there manually. Thanks all!

I never even realized it. The only time they mention a specific park on a specific day is if you make plans for that day (ie, an ADR).
