Adding on points

I am considering buying into DVC. Just as an example, say I buy 150 points at VWL and I find that I need to add more points some years later. Can I get points at the same place with the same UY? Or is that virtually impossible. Also, if I can't do that will my membership be more complicated with 2 accounts or what?

If you buy from DVC, they will make your contracts one membership. If you buy resale with the same UY...you can link them so they are, for all realistic purposes, one account.

I would definitely get on the waitlist via DVC 6 months to a year before you really want the points (of course, that is based on today's wait times).

Resales at a given resort are usually a possibility, but finding your same use year might complicate it for a resort like VWL because it is so small. If you add on from Disney, they usualy require you to have the same use year, so you would probably need to wait for points in your same use year. Yes, bookeeping is a bit more complex, but not horrendous.
