Hi -
DVC owner @ SSR grateful to have a studio at AKL for 4 nights and 1 BR at WLV starting 8/17! It's me, DS (17) and DD(13). We are all set, tix, DDP dining ressies, ME all done.:cool1:

So finally my friend has gotten back to me about having her child join us (DD's BFF) and it turns out the 10 y/o BFF will only be able to be with us at WLV on the last two nights of our stay - let me NOT got into details about past invites, timing, $,etc. She will be delivered to me by her uncle. Her mom or uncle can/will pay for a park ticket for her for the last Monday of our stay before checkout on Tuesday. Not sure if uncle was planning on a multi-day or what - he's a Fla. resident and is bringing his daughters for a day or two...but nothing to do with me - except ticket-wise.

OK - so here's where I need help. I will pay for the DDP for this kid and want her to fly back with us - her mom has made the airline ressie - that was part of the whole point so the kid not fly back alone.

How do I get her on DDP and ME? Can I do this? What about the ticket? While I know room occupancy is no problem and I can add her on that reservation - what the heck do I do about one day of DDP and getting her on ME??? Should I forget DDP for her and just pay OOP?

I consider myself such a vet on much of this stuff but this situation throws me a curve!! :scared1: Can you help me out???? TIA!!!

I'm pretty sure if she's on your reservation AT ALL you have to purchase the DDP for her for all the nights of your stay, even if she's only there for one day. I don't think you can "forget" it for her, because they will make you pay for it for the whole time frame.

ME should not be a problem to add her IF she's on your reservation.

:) That's correct PP. My BIL in joining us only for the first 5 nights of our trip. We had to buy him the DDP for 9 nights, becasue my MIL had and he is in her room. But she gets to use any left over credits which my help out later in the week---if there is a plus side to it.

Thank you so much - I do have several options - it's a split stay, s I could drop the dining plan altogether for all of us the last 4 days, or pay $80 more and add BFF invisibly for 2 days. With 2 teens, I'm sure it'll be no problem...

Just such a weird thing - ironically enough, during "free dining" for the non-DVC folks...:confused3

Friend would need to purchase DDP for total number of nights of your VWL ressie even if only there for last two. DDP credits expire at midnight on the check-out day and maybe your group can make use of the extra credits from the days the friend is not there by doing signature restaurants with TS credits, etc.

Once on ressie ME can be set up however you need.

Good luck :)

personally, I'd drop the DDP, unless you're sure the additinal meals won't go to waste.

You could get the free dining for all if you booked these same villas for cash at rack rate and bought at least one day tickets for each of the guests at each of the resorts. It becomes a whole lot more expensive to do free dining at DVC resorts.
