If I rent do I have to add the Dining at the plan at the time the owner makes the reservation or can I add it later if we change our mind. Also, can I view my reservation on line or do I just rely on the owner to give me info about the reservation. Thanks.

The DDP has to be added to the reservation by the owner, but the owner can add it or remove it up to 48 hours before arrival.

You can not confirm DVC reservations through Member Services, but you can try www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc to show the reservaton.

How can I find out how much it costs to add the different dining plans to a DVC reservation? I can't seem to find this anywhere and that really matters in determining whether to rent points.

EDIT: Nevermind. Found it.

Just so you are aware, for 2010, the charge for the dining plan for point stays does not incur the seasonal price.

The regular DDP is $41.99 for the entire year. This may or may not continue in to 2011, but for now, there is a bit of a savings (I believe $6.00 per day/per adult) if you are traveling during on the seasons defined as "peak" for the dining plan.
