Adding dining plan to a conference reservation?

My sister has a conference at GF this October and has invited me along!! She added tickets onto the room and was planning on adding the delux dining plan-- we want to do a signature each of the 4 nights. She was told that because she is getting a conference rate on the room that we can't get the dining plan? I was a bit surprised and hoping that someone else could confirm if that is correct or if we should try speaking to a manager. I am still hopeful

If not, it will still be a great trip. My first time there without the kids so it will be very different. Thanks for your help.

Conferences a re packaged and priced differently. Even the tickets can't be changed or upgraded so I would bet the info she received about dining is correct.

OP, I believe she received correct information. I attend a conference at WDW each year, and when I book with the conference rate, I am unable to add any dining plan.

this same policy applies for wedding room blocks through WDW, so yes, it's accurate information.

Can't be done. If the reservation is not a MYW package, the dining plan can't be added (the only exception being DVC reservations - yes you can get ticketless packages in some instances but those are still packages). She could book her own package if she wants, but she will lose the convention rate on the room.

AP holders can also doo room + dine packages. The one i booked on Friday is not a MYW package, but a room + dine.

It's a ticketless package. It follows all the same policies and procedures as MYW packages except no ticket purchase is required. Only DVC and sometimes Disney cast members can add dining without booking a package.

The military room plus dining is also a ticketless package.

this has to be stated because package payment and cancellation deadlines are very different from those for room-only or DVC reservations.
