Adding DDP after CRT is paid for

Have a lunch ressie at CRT for October. Its paid in full. Now kicking around the idea of adding DDP. If I decide to do DDP do I call and get my money refunded now, or do I just wait till October. Can I get a refund at the restaurant?

I made my reservation at CRT yesterday and paid with a cc. Decided to get the DDP later in the same phone call. The cast member changed all my ADRs to reflect that I was now using the DDP and refunded the charge to my credit card. I don't know if it made any difference that it was all done in the same phone call but I know it is possible to do so. I still had to give the credit card number to secure the reservation but they said they wouldn't charge it (same thing that they do at Norway).

I just did this last week - we added the DDP 1 1/2 months after making my ADRs & I called Disney Dining to have it noted on all our ADRs. One of our ADRs was CRT and the CM credited my cc no problem. I was quite nervous w/the CM "messing" around w/that particular ADR because its my DD4's 5th bday celebration at CRT. The CM assured me the ADR was just fine all she did was credit my cc. The CM said its a whole different process to cancel an ADR so my ressie is just fine! Whew!
