Can you start off with a 2 day ticket and before the end of the 2nd day, add a third day? I'm going on a conference and the woman going with me isn't sure if she will want to go a third day.
Hi everyone! I too am interested in upgrading tickets. My DD went to a charity auction and won "4" one day park hopper tickets. We hope to upgrade them to two day tickets.
We are 3 adults and 1 three year old granddaughter going on Dec 25th and 26th staying at the Park Vue Inn both nights may stay also Christmas Eve but not sure its necessary.
Is it expensive to upgrade or time consuming to upgrade?

Look at the tickets your DD won. If they were donated by Disney, there is a good chance that they are comp tickets and have no face value. They, therefore, will not be upgradeable, and you will need to buy additional tickets for your other days. I'm just telling you this so you are prepared for the possibility. If the tickets were contributed to the auction in some other way, it is possible that they have a face value. I know our town's auctions though usually get their ticket donations direct from Disney, and since they are strictly a donation, Disney does not give them any upgrade value.

Thank you so much longtimedisneylurker. My daughter has the tickets, so what is she to look for? Does it actually say "donated" or "comp" tickets? I remember looking at them at just seeing: 1 day park hopper pass. Or is there actually a dollar amount posted somewhere?
If they're comp tickets, they should have some notation, such as "No retail value" or some such. But take heart. Even if they're not upgradable, you can still make good use of them.
Say you have 4 people who want to go, for two days each. If you can't upgrade the 4 tickets to 2 days each, then have two people each use two tickets on successive days, and have the other two people buy two day tickets on their own. That will be much cheaper than having everyone buy a one-day ticket.

Yes you can upgrade them. But you will pay the difference between what you paid and full gate price of the 3 day PH ticket $224. If you are going Jan-May you can get a 3 day PH for $199 so only $26 more than a 2 day, but these aren't available at the gate. Only prepurchase.
