Adding an extra guest or two?

Going to Disney world this weekend with my boyfriend and already booked a room online at POP Century Resort for 2 adults.

We found out that another couple, close friends of ours are going down at the same time and have not even made reservations yet. We thought it would be really fun and easy just to share our room with them.

I know that these rooms fit 4 people and all so we wouldn't be breaking any occupancy # rules, but my question is do I need to call and add our guests through the reservation folks? Will it cost us any money since we've booked Room Only, no packages, we're not interested in Extra Magic Hours, and we have our own transportation?

?

I think you would be charged an extra $25 per person per night for the extra adults in the room. That's what we had to do at the Poly, when my SIL came with us. You can always call and ask without adding them. With all that being said, I have never stayed at Values yet, but from everything I've read it will be really tight for 4 adults in a value room :)

You'll need to add them; they won't get keys to the room otherwise.

There's a charge for additional adults, I can't remember if it's $10 or $15 per adult per night.

if the 3 and 4 person is over 18 yrs old staying in the same room there is a charge, I believe it's like $10 a nt each for values resorts $15 for moderate and $25 for deluxe. this might have changed:goodvibes

Yes, you need to call and add additional Guests to your room reservation; and paults is exactly right about the cost - so your room will cost you $20 more per night, plus tax, than you were planning to pay.

Twice now we have added an adult daughter to our reservation at check-in; once at AKL and once at the Poly. Each time we received a key for them, and we were not charged for them either time. On our last trip we added a DD ahead of time because we knew for sure she was coming (we didn't know until less than 24 hours the other two times) and we had to add her for the whole stay, even though she could just come for three days. We had to pay for days that she wasn't even there, or rebook the stay as two separate reservations and have to check out and check back in. So it seems that the only downside to waiting until check-in is that they may have somehow upgraded you to a king room (though that is doubtful) and have no 2-bed rooms available. I personally would wait until check in.

If you know now that your friends are going to be joining you for the entire time then call and have them added to the reservation. It will cost you the extra $20/night for the two extra adults but it's a lot less than them paying for their own room.

Remember that the rooms at Pop Century are the smallest on property so you will have to very good friends with them. And also remember that you will only have one bathroom so you will have to extremely good friends with them.

And chances are your friendship will be strained. POP rooms with 4 adults is close to undoable. Luggage, clothes, toiletries, bathroom timing...practically no room to move. I'd try to get a Mod or Deluxe and split it four ways.

At Pop we usually get another room for the kids just for the bathroom!
