Adding a ticket to just one person on reservation?

We have a trip coming up in a few months.

We have a 2 day park hopper and free dining.

We tend to only do 2 or 3 days per trip, and use the rest of the time at the pool, beach, golfing, universal etc.

Since we are going in iffy weather season, would we be able to add an additional 1 day ticket to just our sons tickets if there were no good beach/pool days? We have have old non expiring tickets we could use for ourselves.

Also, we may be able to swing a moderate hotel now, when we didn't think it was in budget before. We actually prefer the quick serve dining plan we have. When we check in at value, are we able to ask if they have any moderates upgrades available, would we have any luck? (not looking for free upgrade, paid ones)
We don't want to loose the dining if we upgraded pre trip.

Long shot, just asking. Sorry if this is wrong forum.

Once you check in, you can modify individual tickets on a reservation any way you want. After check in the tickets are basically issued, and you can add days to some, add WP&M to others, whatever you want to do.

As far as the hotel goes, I think unless there are rooms available under your existing promotion, any changes would cause you to lose the promotion.

Sorry just clarifying.

Would we have to add that ticket at check in,or could we decide to add later in the week based on weather?

Up until park close of the last day of admission on your ticket. So if on day two you decide you want a third day you can add it. If you have already used up all of the admissions on your ticket you would have to buy a separate one day admission

I did it at Guest Relations at a theme park during my last trip. I could have done it at my hotel, but I was doing early entry at the AK and the hotel guest relations didn't open until 8 am. It was very easy to do.

Also do not use a day off your no-expire tickets just to get a third day add a day to your tickets. The no-expire days are worth way more than a third day on a ticket so it's a waste to use it for the third day.

You can add a day to the one ticket before you leave the park on its last day of use. Once you use the last day of the ticket you can not add a day ( for example: the next day) as the ticket was used in full you must upgrade while it is still valid

Sorry, a bit confused by your message. Maybe it is our perspective on value. Or maybe I am not looking at the correct pricing?

My husband and I have the non expiring hoppers. My son doesn't.

To add a third day for me and hubs would be 94 each. (unless im looking at the wrong thing???) Our non expiring equal out to much less per day when we bought them and are fully paid for. I guess I just see it as a bird in the hand type thing. We have a full ten pack, and this is the type of thing we use them for.(random 1 or 2 day visits)

Am I missing something on pricing, or are we just looking at it differently? I realize that they actually have great value that only gets better with age, but they are also already paid for, so we have already gotten a return on investment.

Adding a third day to a two day hopper is $88 if I did my math right but it's completely up to you how you want to use your no expire tickets. I would add the cheaper third day to your existing tickets and use the no-expire tickets on a short stay down the road when you don't have any tickets vs using them for a third day on an existing ticket.
