Adding a person to ADRs

I've already set up most of my ADRs for my December trip. It's a father daughter trip, and I'm going to ask my sister if she wants to come along too. I don't know if she'll be able to come, and she's probably not likely to decide right away. So my ADRs are for 2 people. Should I change the ADRs to 3 people and take the chance of her not coming, or keep them at 2 people and hope they will seat the extra person? When I've gone in the past, I've always been seated a a table for 4 even though there was only 2 in our party. We're not on the dining plan.

Try to change them; if you can't change them, keep them and check in with 3. And do it whether or not you are certain your sister is coming. It can be easier to show up with fewer people than more.

There's a chance, albeit a really small one, that an extra person will be turned away if the restaurant is at capacity when you arrive.

I would change them. There are quite a few restaurants that have tables that only seat 2, you don't want to risk it, especially if they are popular restaurants. If you wait to change them till you know for sure, they may not have any ADR's left.
