Hi!
Is it possible to add a person to my room at checkin? I am staying on rented points. TIA!

As a renter I really don't think you should be attempting to make any changes that the owner is not aware of.

For owners, typically as long as the additional guest doesn't put you over the room occupancy limit there shouldn't be an issue. Although I'm not 100% sure if ME/DDP would have an impact on ability to do so.

Why not just contact the renter & ask them to add the exrtra person now?

Assuming he would have to retrieve his own luggage is it possible to add him to ME at the airport as well? DDP is not in the plans. :)

If you don't add the guest to your ressie before you get to the resort then they will not be able to use DME. You can't just show up at MCO and get on a DME bus, you need to reserve it ahead of time.:)

You can however go to the Mears counter and buy a ticket for him and he may even be put on the DME bus.

As a renter I wouldn't make any changes to the reservation. :scared1:

We had a renter try to modify a reservation, the CM's tried to make the changes and the reservation was canceled. Normally they would just have MS make a replacement reservation but our name as owners wasn't on the reservation. I got a panic call from the renter, I contacted MS and fixed the problem.

If I hadn't answered the phone, the renter would be without the room that they paid me for.

Oh my :scared1::scared1: I will email the owner and have her add him on to the room and ME. Would it be a problem if he ended up not accompanying me at the last minute?

Since you are not on a dining plan, it's no problem. It's better to have him on the reservation and not show, then try to deal with it at the front desk without him on the reservation.

I have a studio reserved and as of now I am the only one on the reservation. My BFF was going to come along but had to cancel and now my husband is toying with the idea of coming along. But knowing him he will put off his decision as long as possible. :sad2:
