Adding a night to a package

I booked two months ago 7 nights at CBR in a standard 5th sleeper room, along with park tickets. I have been thinking about adding an extra night at the end of our stay. I know that for the arrival weekend we are there, those rooms are already sold out. However, the extra night I want if I search it separately shows as available. I unfortunately can't modify my booking online right now, so I called to add it to the reservation today. When I finally got through, she told me it was not available that night, but they could book me in a different room type. I didn't want to do that, so I left it as is. However, I went to look again and I still see it available! Grrrr.

Can they not add it to the booking because some nights in that room type are unavailable? I know I can add it separately to the booking, but then it does't count as part of the package and I have to pay the full night in advance, which I was trying to avoid.

Does anyone have any insight as to how this works? My trip is still a ways off, and I assume as they open up the POR and POFQ some space will free up at CBR, but adding this night also means changing my flight so I'd rather get it done together. Thanks.

You are going to have to call back ask to be transferred to Guest Services. Try this number 407-934-7639 the regular modification number from MDE.

Guest Services are the only one that can override the system if there is an actual available room without cancelling your entire booking and rebooking your entire stay.

When are you going? I wouldn’t bet on POR/FQ reopening until 2022. Even though we are starting to see some limited availability at the resorts from the 50th to the end of the year, it appears that Disney’s current strategy is to fill up the hotels that are open instead of opening new ones up and maintaining somewhat capped capacity across all resorts.

We are going March 2022, so I had though by then they would be open, but everything is a guessing game right now. Really all I want is the extra night added to my existing booking! I figured it would be super simple to add. 🤷‍♀️

I called that number, and was finally able to get my extra night. So thank you so much for your help!
