Kind of a weird question maybe?

We're at the Poly Oct 3-5th and then moving to AoA Cars for the remainder of our trip. If there is availability at Poly and we are able to extend our stay there by an extra night, what happens to the reservation for AoA? Are we just out the money we paid for the first night there or is there a way to apply a credit or refund? Just curious what the policy is if this becomes a viable option.

It would depend on how you booked AoA. If you have a package or room-only booked that came with a deal like *free* dining or fall room discount offer that has expired, you would not be able to alter that reservation because the booking period for it has passed. Years ago, you could just drop day(s) at the beginning or end and it wouldn't be a problem. In the last couple of years, Disney has made restrictions on changing a reservation that was booked under discounts.

If you have a room-only reservation that is either rack rate or with a discount that is still effective, you might be able to drop that first day at AoA without penalty.

If you booked through a 3rd party. like Orbitz, you are subject to the 3rd party's cancellation/modification terms.

Thank you!
That's probably not going to work then. The AoA room is booked under the BTS promo and it's showing sold out for the end of our trip. So that would be the problem I'd say - rebooking the AoA for the shortened timeframe. I know it's a longshot anyway that there would be the room available to extend the Poly stay. I need to just learn to leave things alone and walk away from the planning lol
