Adding a birthday to an ADR?

In the past, there was a place to add a celebration to a reservation, but I no longer see a way to do this. My son and I have our actual birthdays while in Disney and wanted just a small recognition if possible. Did they eliminate it because people were choosing to celebrate too often, or did I simply miss how to do it? Any help is appreciated since we leave in 6 days!!!!!!

They have removed that option. The best thing to do is mention it at resort check-in so you get birthday buttons. Wear the buttons. And, mention it at the podium when you check in for your meal/meals. You may get anything from nothing...to a happy birthday from your server, to a cupcake, to confetti on your table, to a signed birthday card from characters if it's a character meal, to any number of other things.

The probably removed it from the online reservation system because of the sheer number of people who are celebrating an event at Disney...probably thousands per day.

You can also call and they will add the celebration to the reservation. Keep in mind they may or may not do anything for the birthday. We have gotten free cupcakes, a sprinkle of pixi dust on the table, autographed placemat, the whole restaurant singing happy birthday and nothing at all done for birthdays over the years. Definitely get a birthday button. It is fun to have people wish you happy birthday throughout the day too.

Get the birthday buttons, wear them and mention the celebrations when you go to the restaurants.
Has always worked for me for at least a Happy Birthday, if not a treat.

1) Yep.
2) It seemed like almost everyone had a birthday or something else to celebrate.
3) it was getting out-of-hand with all the greed of guests.
