Okay, this is getting ridiculous! I just bought my first points at SSR less than 2 weeks ago. Today I bought an add-on at BWV! Somebody stop me!! I am having way too much fun! I called this morning, bought 40 points at BWV, called this afternoon and booked 4 nights in a studio at OKW for my mom and me to enjoy the Christmas events from Dec. 14-18. That was too easy! So yes, if you are new to DVC with SSR points you can do add-ons.

That's great! We just put our deposit on SSR today we know we want more points but the down payment restricted us due to back to school, birthday expenses etc.....We would like to add on as soon as we can save up more deposit$...did you waitlist for BWV points or did you just call today and they were available?

I just called today and they were available. They had points for June use year at WLV and BWV but not BCV.

Thanks for the info! Those are the two resorts I'm debating between buying the rest of our points at! Can't wait to be at SSR this JUNE!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hey, that's teriffic news! It's not in the cards for me now, but maybe sometime down the road. I do feel it coming on...sort of like a virus that comes on gradually (the wanting to buy phase), then you have a full-fledged syndrome (must buy and do), then it goes into remission (only to come full circle again.)
:D

I'd love to have some points at BWV too. Congratulations!!

DW and I are just getting ready to make our first purchase (SSR) in a few days - when should we expect to feel the urge to buy more points? ;) :p

To be honest, though, I guess that we already are - at least we've started mentally bumping up our initial purchase points.

When I originally posted, I titled the thread "And so it begins." I meant the DVC buy-in process - I guess it really means the endless need for more points!

rtwhite,

Congratulations!! Adding on is hard to resist.

Dr Tomorrow,

You should feel the urge to add on within about an hour of making your initial purchase:p

Truth be told we are all probably addicted! The other truth is you just can't get enough.
I find myself limited by air transportation rather than opportunities to go or points. I guess Texas is just too far to drive unless you are staying a while.
Congrats and Welcome Home again!

We are from the Dallas area, so yes, we are limited by the air transportation too. That drive is just too long (20 hours), it wastes 2 days each way of our trip. When we go we try to stay for at least a week if not longer. These points are sure going to come in handy!

Congrats on your new points!

That add on bug is contagous....

Enjoy your December trip!
