There is no "add on." Contracts are for X points with Y UY. There are only new contracts.
You could buy another contract with the same ownership structure and UY and they will work together. If either of those things don't match, it will be a new member ID.
I wouldn't own property with adults I am not married to for many reasons unrelated to DVC itself. If you plan to leave these to kids anyway, maybe it's time to talk to an estate lawyer and structure this correctly from the jump.
You never could. Contracts were always for X points. Those points can't be modified. You can only buy a new contract or sell all the points in the contract at once.
I don't want to modify anything....in the past I have "added on" to my original and now I'm thinking about adding more points and was wondering if signatures are required. You really are confusing me!! Guess I'll just contact my guide.
@RoseGold is correct. Your can add on points in your membership but each add on is its own separate contract. If you choose to buy more points they would need to be titled the same on the deed to work all together under one membership. I have 7 contracts at different resorts but one membership. I could sell each one individually and as long as I had one left it would still be under the same membership. If you “add on” make sure you have your kids names and yours as they are on the current contract(s) and they will all work together. My contracts are my membership number with a .01,02 .03 etc to distinguish them.

Looks like you're having a semantic argument. You can't add "points" to a "contract" but you can add a "contract" to your "membership." I think it's pretty clear what you meant.

Yes I understand the adding part - I have done it several times - but I was the only owner then - now since there are multiple owner that’s what I was questioning- thanks for your help.
