Add On Question

We are looking to add on to our DVC and I have a couple of questions I'm hoping that the more experienced then myself can answer.

1. Since our first contract was direct with Disney if we buy on the resell market that won't affect any of the "perks" that we currently get correct?

2. If we buy into another resort but not enough points for the full length of our intended stay, can we still book at the 11-month window? Basically does it become a "pool of points" or can you only book the resorts 11 months out if you have enough points at that resort?

1. Correct

2. Points remain separate no matter where they are transferred. SSR points always remain SSR points and cannot be used at VGF until 7 months. After 7 months you can combine them.

If you could pool your points at 11 months, everyone would buy 25 points at all of the resorts and 200 at SSR.

As the above answered your questions you might also want to research the pro/cons of the same use year and making sure the deed is listed exactly as your first contract for your resale purchase.

To elaborate on your first question - the DVC perks would only be tied to your direct purchase so if you wanted to book a cruise or AVD you could only use your points purchased directly for those trips
