I am in the process of buying a contract that has same UY and Resort as my current contract. I see a lot of people saying they are waiting for their membership number. Will I have the same number or will I have a second number? Do you end up with the points in your account faster if you are already a member? I am currently in ROFR...

If the new purchase is for the same UY and is titled with the same names as your existing contract(s), it should be added as a sub-contract on your existing membership.

Let your agent know you are a member. Some of them have a form that's sent to DVC that would include your existing member number.

When I filled out the papers I added in my member number and other info, so they are aware. Thank you!

If DVC processes your add-on correctly they will add the new contract first with a .001 suffix and a little later the points will get loaded. Just keep an eye on your account, they probably won't notify you when they add the contract.

Our add-on just posted a few weeks ago. We filled out a form to give Disney our membership number when we purchased. Everything went smoothly and our new contract showed up with the .001 suffix and a few days later the points were added to our account. About a ten days after the account showed up we received a letter in the mail giving us our account number (which we already knew)
