Add-on question

I just spoke to my guide Monday night and put down a deposit on a VWL add-on

Since there was no wait list, my question is, how long after I return the paperwork can I expect to see the points available? The reason I ask is I have an August use year and have until the end of January for the 100% banking deadline. Since we don't have another trip planned until September, I wanted to make sure that I would be able to bank all of this year's points. So I'm hoping that they'll be available to me before the end of the month. Does this seem like a reasonable expectation, and if not, what do they do about banking add-on points in a situation like this?

Go to the DVC member website and check to see if they have loaded your VWL info into the system. As soon as they get you in there you can bank them.

When I did my add-on at SSR, it seemed almost instant, but since I was doing the add-on well after the banking deadlines, they had to manually update the points, which took a little longer. Regardless, I had the points in my account and banked before I ever received the FedEx package from them.

If your new VWL contract isn't showing online, just give MS a call and see if you can bank those points now so you don't miss the deadline.

I just looked online and my new contract isn't showing yet. The bank hasn't cleared my deposit yet either. Looks like I'll have to call MS to make sure everything is in order...

We did our add on mid Dec. I did our deposit onto a credit card over the phone and our points were there within a couple of days. I called MS to make our Oct res and they took care of the banking for me too.
