Add on purchase and banking...

I'm looking at doing a direct add on for a smaller contract, probably 70 points at VGF, my use year is October so my banking deadline was 31 May. Will DVC let me bank the 2013 points into my 2014 use year even though I'm past my banking deadline? I know they will usually do this for a first time purchase but didn't know about an add on. Any help would be appreciated! TIA! This is assuming that I would get the 2013 points, would I?

Yes, if you purchase directly from Disney they allow you to bank those 2013 points even though you are past your banking deadline.

And yes, they will start you off with a full set of 2013 points since that is your current UY. They do sometimes run out of current UY points, though this is rare and usually only happens if someone is adding on a couple of weeks before the end of their UY.

Your 2013 dues on your add-on will be pro-rated from your purchase date if you get 2013 points or from the start of your Oct 2014 UY if you don't but I expect they will still have Oct 2013 UY points available.

We bought HHI on January 25, 2011 and we have a FEB UY. We bought direct since we were only buying 50 points and they not only had 2010 UY points available, but they let me bank them on January 26, 2011....5 days before they expired.
