I found my guide to be unreliable so I'll post this question here instead. I wanted to purchase another 120 points to avail of the new incentive. My guide told me since I just send my contract in, it will take a month before I can add on. Well, what happens if the incentive expires?

If you have other info other than this please post. Thanks.

He is probably correct - technically, you can't add-on until your initial purchase has closed. You can certainly let him know of your intent to purchase such an add-on and have him start the paperwork immediately (I doubt he'd turn down the sale). Usually, DVC has honored any offers for pending transactions (including price increases) - even if the date has already passed.

As for the offer expiring- in the past, DVC has always given advance notice of about a month about any incentives ending (including the last one that ended on 2/28). I'd expect this one to last for at least several months based on the duration of past incentives.

Good luck!

Thanks for your quick response. My guide told me earlier that the 100 points incentive have to be used before the year end and can't be bank to which was incorrect base on the newsletter info somone posted. Can you confirm this as well? Thanks.

As with all things regarding DVC, I'll always take the printed information coming directly from DVC as the correct information over spoken words by a CM. The printed words are very difficult to retract from a legal standpoint, while the spoken words can simply be denied. To be fair, some comments/explanations given by guides are based on the way a question was specifically worded or are otherwise unintentionally incorrect. Sometimes, they are just not totally clear on the fine details of a program.

Here is the wording from the March Member Clubhouse about the additional points:

"... The Developer Vacation Points you receive will have the same Use Year and Home Resort Priority as the Use Year of the Vacation Points in your initial purchase and are limited to a one-time use of the Developer's Ownership Interest represented by such Developer Vacation Points. If the Developer Vacation Points are not used in the first Use Year or banked to the subsequent Use Year, the Developer Vacation Points will automatically expire. Once you have used the Developer Vacation Points (during the first Use Year) or banked the Developer Vacation Points (to the subsequent Use Year), the Developer Vacation Points will no longer be available for your use. ..."

According to the information sent by DVC, these developer points must be used during this Use Year or banked to use next year.
