After I posted last night i was cleaning up dinner and i just would think about it and get crazy excited and just hug and kiss the crap out of DF.... he said "geeze I should say yes to anything you want from now on!" :rotfl2:

I really hope it all works out.... even though i know i have DF's approval I still need to make sure its all set with my WP. Hopefully with alot of good vibes :goodvibes and pixie dust :wizard: it'll all work out for us. I posted the pictures on my facebook under my "wedding stuff" album and all my friends are so jelouse. I secretly hope DF's siblings see the pictures.... :rolleyes1

Anyway i'm going to get back to work before my boss comes in here and catches me :surfweb:

Hey Ladies!

I haven't posted in a few days because i haven't really had anything to update. I feel like i'm at a stand still from now until Feb. 2nd, 2010.

i dont really know what else I should be doing at this point... :confused3 Is there anything i can be doing?


On a good note my birthday is friday! :woohoo::banana: We took off next wend, thurs, and friday and we were thinking about going to the foxwoods casino in CT. as a little day trip :thumbsup2 They have that bodies revealed exhibt there for the next couple months and i really wanted to go see it, so we'll do that, eat at one of their restaurants and then hit the casinos for like and hour or two before coming home. We looked at the weather and it said the days we took off are going to rain with isolated thunder storms... figures:rolleyes: So being in the casino was the best idea. I'll be sure to take some pictures.

I don't think there's anything you "should" be doing, I think non-disney wedding people don't do stuff until much closer to the weddings. It's just on these boards, full of addicted to Disney planners, that there's so much going on! ;)

I agree... i think that after seeing other friends getting married and how they needed to plan things at least a year to two years in advanced its just imbedded in my brain that i SHOULD be doing things when it really isn't necessary. But we'll see... i'm sure i'll find something new to obsess over :lmao:

I have a new question/concern for you all....

If we do end up getting the attic (pixie dust, pixie dust, pixie dust!) What would change? Would I still cut the cake at SBP or would the cake be set up at the attic? Same goes for the champagne/sparkling cider. Do you all think i'd need more time booked with Randy? Or should I just tell randy to meet us at SBP and not have him take the "getting ready" pictures? And what happeneds to the SBP set up? Will I get some extra money to play with since there won't be a need for DFTW to set up any extra tables at SBP for people to sit and eat cake? (yea right... i'm sure this is just wishful thinking :rolleyes1 ) I'm just starting to second guess the plan and maybe just sticking with the whole dinner at one of the EPCOT restaurants thing. Not that the attic isn't AMAZING but i just dont know how this will all work. :confused3

I totally understand what you are saying....it is confusing for us Escape brides! Here is what I am planning:

I am giving up the getting ready pics (which I don't really care for that much anyhow) and we are taking the majority of pictures before our ceremony (we are not doing the whole separated thing). Immediately following the ceremony, we are going to do a champagne toast, and order a fruit and cheese plate for guests while we are getting the rest of our SBP pictures done. I figure that should leave an hour left in photography for the Attic, and than we can save cake for dessert! I still might add an extra half/full hour of photography though.

I have Randy as well. He is so easy going, I really don't think it matters to him what I want done. I have read many stories about how much better it is to do your photography before hand, the main reasons being that guests don't wait around for an hour after the ceremony, the bride and groom are more relaxed during the ceremony, and the photographer has more alone time with the couple, so he/she isn't competing with family who will want to take pictures, even though there is a photographer there.:rotfl:

I don't know if we are going to have music in the Attic. It will come down to how much extra $ we have.
 
Actually that was some great advice! DF and I aren't doing the whole seperated things either, we actually want to do a "first look" so maybe after the first look we can go around and do some photos before our guests arrive for the ceremony. How soon are you going to get to the boardwalk before the ceremony? (sorry if i'm totally picking your brain)

Humm, I honestly don't know :rotfl: Our plan is to start taking pics at BCV (which is where we are staying for our wedding) and work our way down to SBP, stopping for pics, with the bridal party, on the way. I figured this would take about an hour. We are not doing the walking down the aisle thing, so we don't really need set up time. I think we will probably be there like 5-10mins before the ceremony starts.
 
I wonder how that would work for us since we're staying at AKL. hmmm.... this is definatly giving me some stuff to think about. I wish i knew how much everything was going to be so i could make better judgement calls on what we might want and can afford. I think i'm going to go ask some questions on the weddings board and see if anyone can give me an idea on how much certain things are. As much as the "getting ready" pictures don't really matter to me i did kind of want some at the AKL, and even though it doesn't really need it i'd like to get some small centerpieces for the tables in the attic.

I agree...I wonder how we are going to do the cake, eat, drink, be merry...lets go eat lunch thing too...and eat some more...
I booked Misty for 6 hours and was worried about how all of that would work out...(If we would have her for too much time...) but it looks like if we do a reception...then we will have her for enough time.
 
yea we booked randy for 4 hours, half an hour of "getting ready" about 30-45 mins for the first look/ceremony/cake cutting/ect, and then the rest of the time is us taking pictures... but like Karen is doing i think we'll be doing the "first look" and then most of our pictures with randy then so like and hour to an hour and a half, then the 30mins for the ceremony/formal pictures, and then the reception/cake/ect. and then if there is any extra time maybe go take some more around the boardwalk. I just dont want it to feel rushed so i MAY add an extra hour depending on the $$$

You could do your first look at AKL and that way you'd have your some pictures there.

I know what you mean about the "getting ready" pics. I'm only having the Roots come at the end when I'm practically ready for a few make-up touch up shots and putting on my dress. I know photogs like to get those artistic dress on a hanger shots. I also like the shots of the mom or sister or whoever lacing up the bride's dress. But a ton of pics of me and the girls posing on a bed with rollers in our hair, no thanks! :laughing: Then we'll do our first look and some pics before the ceremony.

It is tough not knowing how much things will cost. I think for floral just come up with a number that you are prepared to spend and then make them work within that. For the attic you don't really need much decoration, and you could probably come up with some creative options too.

Definitely check with Randy on how much additional time would be, I think it would probably be pretty reasonable.
