I think option 3 is really cute!!
Thanks Anj!!
That one is one of my favorites too.... its not too cheesy! How do you think i should word the at home reception invites using the same idea? Maybe say..
In the spirirt of the magic
that brought us together
We were married
and are starting
our happily ever after...
then do the "please join us for a party...blah blah blah" stuff??
)A friend of mine pretty much eloped to Niagara Falls. They had a "reception" when they got home...it was done on the computer and printed on resume paper. It said:
Hi! Come to our wedding....oh...Um...Sorry we did that already! Instead come to our party!
Date
Time
Place
Please no gifts.
It was a stitch! But then again, the whole thing was a bit funny. (long story...not PJ material)

I thought I would join in. (I love not working at work)
Congrats on your engagement, your story is cute! I love your flower choices. And your dress is gorgeous. I'm sorry about the family issues, it sounds like DF's family when we wanted to do a DCL wedding and now we're getting married in Puerto Rico, so go figure. It will all work out and everything will be just fine.
I like option 3 for the wording as well![]()

OMG I started cracking up when i read what you wrote about the quote!! I've been wanting to say that since i first saw it all over everything at their wedding! I was like "Ok NOTHING about this wedding is fairy tale thank you very much!"The last one is my favorite too, I think it will look perfect for 1/2 up half down style. I'm looking into something similar or maybe a headband because I don't want a tiara.
I like the wording of option 3 too. I haven't figured out what we're going to do. It stinks that other girl stole your quote, I mean hello, it's not a fairy tale if it's not at Disney!![]()
So thanks for saying waht i've been thinking for 3 weeks now!
I think the wording easily works for the at home reception! Just retool it like you did, and voila! Insta-invite! Lol![]()
And oooh! Pretty hair combs! I like the last one the best too!
Yea i showed DF the wording and he didn't seem too thirlled about it. But i also learned that he is a plain boring kind of guy. We were searching through wedding paper divas dot com and I asked him to pick out a few with me so we could order some samples. Now, obviously I had been on the sight a ton of times before and had an idea of which ones i liked. Well all the ones he liked were VERY plain. Just wording and a straight border....
I mentioned a few that i liked and he said they looked too busy. We compromised and got a sample of one that he liked, one that i liked, and one that we both agreed on. But as far as the wording goes i think i want to use option number 3 and hope it grows on him
I liked that website because you can order invitations with just a minimum of 10.... not 50 like most websites.
Are they even coming to your wedding??? Maybe they'll never know you used it
I like wording #3 the best as well and also the last hair comb- so pretty! Can't wait to see the invitation samples you ordered! P.S. Can I join your support group for those having anxiety about the 8 month booking date- ugh

This will be our logo and i'll make us all t shirts and key chains!

And you should definatly check out that website... i mean as a fellow escaper i dont think you're going to need a minimum of 50 invitations and they're pretty reasonably priced too. Thanks Lynn!
DF brought up the point that since its going to be a very casual party at the house, with some hors d'evours (spelling???) drinks and nothing really reception-ish about it that people will understand that if they want to bring a gift they will and if they dont they wont. I kind of agree with him there. I think we will just send out nice invitations that show it'll be casual and leave it at that.
Did you register anywhere lynn?
Were people OK with the fact that you had the small wedding in disney and the party back at home?
Oh and how long did it take Randy to get your pics to you? We are doing the CD only package and i want to make sure we'll have it for people to see at the party.![]()
Thanks Anj!!

Oh and just for the record... i did want donald and daisy in bathing suits on my invitations but DF vetoed that stating that not everyone attending ::cough:: DF's Family ::cough:: is into disney and wouldn't like it...
anywayyyyyy.....

, but hello, it's a wedding! It's supposed to be a little girly and cheesy!
