Adam and Katies 10/2/2010 SBP/Attic/?? ~ brainstorming!

Thanks for all the responses ladies!!! :worship:

I think i'm going to go with number 1... Its on sale for only 39$ :woohoo:
The hard part will be ordering it and then not wearing it until the wedding! :cutie:

I have some quick little updates too!

I called Jack Day back but he wasn't available so i left him a voice mail... he really does have the cutest accent and voice i've ever heard. :goodvibes

I also received an email back from my planner (Kristi) and I got some interesting and informative news.

First the informative (I'm sure most of you know this already but just incase anyone was wonder i'll post it)

Chair covers and sashes are 8.50$ per chair
Rose petals down the aisle are 65$ for the deluxe location (does deluxe mean WP? is SBP deluxe??)
Buying the sand ceremony kit from disney will be 35$ which includes the tall glass cylinder, two smaller cylinders, and two different sand colors.
Rose petals on the cake table or the sand ceremony table will be 25$
For a staged exit Rose petals are 3.50$ per person, ribbon wands are 2.50$ per person and bubbles are 4$ per person

She said she couldn't tell me if my bouquet would cost extra until we signa contract...

Now the interesting:

She told me that disney weddings is currently working on offering meal locations to escape brides. She said it would be available in the next few weeks and that she'd keep me posted. :thumbsup2

I doubt it'll be something DF wants to do since he is really psyched about going to CR but just incase any escape brides were wondering!

Awesome news! Thanks for posting this!!!

WOW!! You have some exciting news!

First of all, I love the dress!! And what a deal!!

Thanks for the info on all that pricing too!! That is very helpful. I am scared to see our BEO for the first time, so that helps!

And YAY again for some dining options for Escape brides!! Who knows what they might offer!

I was afraid of sticker shock too! :scared: Thats why i'm glad i'm getting some answers on how much things are going to be. I can't wait to see what they offer escape brides! popcorn::

maybe you should order dress #3 or #2 as well...that way you can wear that one around the house and pretend! :lmao:

i think we should take a trip to canobie or six flags.....doesnt even come near disney but we can go and say oh if this were disney they would do this lol and live out our dreams of the parks that way lol

OMG Canobie!!!! :rotfl2: We definatly should! I haven't been there in so long! I think i'm going to ask DF if he'll take me there at least once this summer... he hates it there since disney... he doesn't even like six flags anymore since disney come to think of it. We really need to meet up!

Awesome news! Thanks for posting this!!!

No problem! glad i could help!

WOW thats really exciting about locations for escape couples to have a meal :goodvibes you'll have to let us all know when you find out!

Moving right along with wedding planning I'm trying to figure out what we should do for chair covers! :goodvibes Here are chair covers with shashes in our colors...

Should I do every other color on the chairs? So one navy, one fuschia, one navy... ect

Or

is that too much color in your face and just do ALL navy and have fuschia rose petals down the aisle and for the staged exit?

One side of me thinks that there won't be that many decorations at SBP and maybe all the color will look good, but then the other side of me thinks it might be blinding... :scared: I just can't tell... any suggestions/opinions? :confused3

Thanks Mandy! I think it would be too much of a color shock to do both colors. I think it'll look pretty with the fuschia rose petals down the aisle too. I'm going to try and find some pictures... I just hope disney can do really really bright pink rose petals

Thanks sam! :goodvibes

I showed DF the email from Kristi and he told me to hold off on buying the second dress because he is interested to see what meals they might offer to escape brides. :thumbsup2 I am kind of happy about this! But i think i'm going to go with number 1 if we decide to keep the original plan.

Very cool! See, DF will come around...it just has to be HIS idea! LOL
I am sure they can do fuschia rose petals-they did for Carrie's wedding....

:rotfl2: Yup! I totally let him initiate that one... I let him read the email and said NOTHING! I said i just wanted him to see the prices for things.. :rolleyes1 But when he read about the meal options that was all him!

I forgot about carrie's rose petals! They were very fuschia and thats EXACTLY what i want! I'm going to have to "borrow" some of her wedding TR pics so i can show them to my planner! Thanks Lurkyloo!!! :goodvibes

The new plan sounds perfect and I love the dress you picked- now just to see what these new meal plans are so you know what to do! I agree that navy sashes and fuschia floral will look perfect!

Hey ladies!

I need your help! Today DF and I went to the beach :woohoo: while we were in the water DF commented on how great i looked and how he is noticing how much wieght i'm loosing!

While we were laying on our beach towels drying off i started thinking about wedding stuff (what else is new) and I got a sick feeling in my stomache wondering if loosing the weight is going to cause a problem with my dress. Just a reminder... At Davids bridal 5 months agp i wore a size 8, My dress is a Casablanca size 12 :scared: it used to fit my waist and only needed to come in alittle bit in the bust and in the hips.

Well we just got home and i'd been obsessing over it so after rinsing off in the shower i grabbed my gown and ran into the bed room.... As happy as I am about loosing the weight its VERY big on me now! Like 2 inches need to come in on the bust, about an inch and a half in the waist, and 3 inches in the hips (I have no butt at ALL!) It also needs to be hemed and the bustle needs to be reinforced.

I'm worried about how much this is going to cost me, The beading on my gown doesn't help either, it'll need to be removed AND put back on. :sad2: I only paid three hundred for the gown but if alterations are going to cost me an arm and a leg I dont know if it'll be worth it. Any advice on this?? :confused3

When I bought my dress, they told me the only alterations that cost a lot is to fix the length. I was worried about loosing weight as well, and the dress being way to big, but the lady told me it probably wouldn't be over $100, for my style anyway.

OH good!!! Thats so nice to hear! I just have this aweful feeling like its going to cost me a ton of money to alter it. I'm wondering if i should start calling people and asking for an estimate so i can get some ideas

i think that is a good plan. i would be worried too. start calling and see what they say. it couldnt hurt. if it does seem to be way more than you paid for the original dress, then maybe you can go dress shopping again! and who doesnt like that idea! hee hee If you do find a "new" dress then you could always resell the other on ebay. just a thought.

Yea i'm definatly going to start calling around on monday. I love my dress :lovestruc and i just hope that i won't have to pay a ton of money to get it altered. But I just can' see paying more for the alterations than the gown itself. There were a couple of places that i could buy a dress and they alter it for free.

I'll keep you updated! Thanks gooniebride!

A friend of mine just borrowed a friends wedding gown and had my seamstress not only do the alterations, but she also did re-worked the entire dress....she cut sleeves from one gown added it to the wedding gown...took up the length...took in the bust..and a ton of other stuff I don't remember...it cost her $150-ish...but it never went higher than that price wise...and it was gorgeous!

I'm sure the dress alternations won't cost more than the dress! And congrats on losing the weight! (And for DF noticing ;) )
