Activity tracking in the parks?

What do you use to track your activity in the parks? I have an Apple watch series 6. I use the built in Apple workouts to do things like hiking, the swimming workout when swimming, the elliptical workout when on the elliptical machine, etc. But what workout/app do you use when just walking around all day? None of the built in workouts seem appropriate for stop and go all day.

Outdoor walk ( you can pause it when you stop to eat/sit for a long period of time so you don’t have to tell it that you are not finished with your workout)

I wear an Apple Watch, but don't have a workout going. Just wearing the watch will track your steps/distance walked and give you credit for any stairs climbed. Having a workout running all day will drain your watch battery faster, because it's actively using GPS during the workout to map your walk.

Edit: grammar

Just tracking steps, distance and stairs is enough for me. We cover an average of 10 miles a day - best ever was about 40,000 steps but that was a 5am opening at Hollywood Studios day when Galaxy's Edge first opened.

Just step and mile counting on Fitbit. However, I think the steps get affected by some attractions.

I will say that when we entered AK first thing in the morning and power-walked to Flight of Passage, then pretty much continuously through the queue, my Apple Watch asked me if I was exercising. Other than that I just let it passively count steps. No problem meeting any step goals that week!

I just let my Apple Watch do it’s thing automatically. As others have said it will track your steps and calories burned just fine. It also automatically counts exercise if you’re working hard enough, even a few minutes at a time. I’m a fast walker so I usually log well over an hour of automatically detected exercise per day at Disney. No problem closing closing all three rings every day.

Is there a reason you want to count it as a workout?

Do you start a workout when you walk around the grocery store? Or anywhere else?

I'm with the others. Having my steps and stairs counted gives me more than enough activity to close my rings. If I am doing an especially brisk dedicated walk, for example between HS and Epcot, or Poly and MK, I might start an outdoor walk workout. But not for just touring around the parks.

thanks, I’m a new Apple Watch owner. I wondered how that would work.

I use my fitbit.

Didn't get a big boost this year. Maybe they changed the algorithm?

Maybe they're finally making it more sensitive to what is actually a step and what is someone clapping or otherwise moving their hands/arms?

Few years ago when I was pushing DH in a wheelchair, my fitbit didn't count all those steps. What??? I pushed a 240 lb man half the day and only did 4000 steps?????

Now that he uses a scooter, I tend to walk next to him with my hand on the head rest. So once again, those steps don't count.

when my daughter was in a stroller, I moved my fitbit either to a pocket or looped it on my pants. LOL - I wanted credit for all those steps! ;)

LOL, I think Apple should stop calling it a Stand goal and make it an Arm Movement goal! If you don't move the arm that has the watch on it, you don't get credit for any movement at all, and OTOH if you wave that arm around for a minute, you get credit!
