Did anyone get today an email from DVC about saving $3000 on DVC?

*Savings is based on the combination of a limited-time Additional Credit of $6 per vacation point, plus the current Incentive Credit of $13 credit per vacation point at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and $16 per vacation point at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort.

How much is AKV points before the $19 credit? Is this the best deal out there?

I got a call from our guide today and he was telling me about this and said it ends tuesday. I was wondering the same thing. You just never know what deal will be next.

AKV is $112 before the 2 discounts so $93 after discounts for a 160 pt contract. They also told me if I wanted only 100 pts at AKV I would get a price of $99 per point.

We are looking to buy new right now and our guide told us that they are selling February use years (but that if we really wanted they could probably arrange for later use years)

I know that when we looked earlier in the year at DVC it was a Feb use year and our guide said that we would get 09 points and we would then be able to get our next set of points feb 10. Is that still the case?

DVC usually has a default UY that they offer new buyers. However, you can ask for any UY that suits your vacation needs and for the most part, they will give it to you. The last time I talked to my guide, he told me that all UY's were available for both BLT and AKV.

If Feb UY is not what works best for your travel, ask for the one that does. Everyone that buys now, will get 09 points with there purchase. There have been reports that those getting Oct UY and Dec UY are also getting 08 points (since they still have 08 points left for those UY's).

When I bought in to BLT in the winter, they offered Feb but I wanted June (for summer travel) and that is what I got.

February, March, April, June, August, September, October & December
are Use Years. January, May, July and November are NOT.

You can and should request the Use Year that works best for you based upon your travel habits and not just accept a particular Use Year because a guide is telling you that February or whatever month is currently the Use Year they have 'available' - - do not settle for a UY that does not work well with your travel patterns, tell the guide the Use Year you WANT (same thing with choosing a Home Resort - guides want to sell newest resorts they are presently actively marketing but ALL DVC resorts may be purchased)

Yes, that is being reported as still happening. I would contact DVC if you are interested as you never know when they may change that.

As you long as you set the ball in motion if the incentive changes as of Tuesday and it is better you can actually opt to get the incentive vs the current incentive. It will require new paper work to be drawn up, but that is about it.
