Ack! Why was BoardTracker visiting my profile page?

Could board tracker be what is listed if someone was to do a search on your username?

This is interesting. I've had 44 visits, but only 3 people (who are friends) are listed.

I have visited a couple of profiles and left messages (wishing a good trip, etc.) and I wonder if my name is there as a visitor? I don't remember where I've been to check it out, though.

I had only one visit. I just visited that person and now I'm their only visitor. It's not boardtracker though.

BoardTracker is a search engine for message boards and forums..
So it comes on disboards and searches all of the posts and makes a note of all of them. then if someone goes to boardtracker.com and types in disboards and strollers,, it will bring up all the posts...

I have signatures turned off, so if someone comments on another posters signature pic and I want to see it, I have to click on their profile to see the pics.

I had to jump on the bandwagon...I just couldn't resist....so I viewed the OP's profile....I then saw my name.....got scared....and exited without taking time to look.

I actually STOPPED checking out profiles when I saw they were listing the names!! I think it was after the last upgrade!!

I was SHOCKED!! Then I checked my own and What in the HECK did I do to 125 people?????

I know sometimes when I'm scrolling down a page using my touchpad, I sometimes accidentally "click" on someone's name and their profile shows up. So, if you see my name listed as visiting your profile, it was an accident...really...I'm not stalking you!!!

I have done that a couple of times too.

I know Board Tracker was that crazy dog search they had here for several years that never worked. They now have gone back to the search that is built in to the vBulletin software that the board uses, and it works great. There also was an actual Board Tracker character that use to post here on the tech board, trying to explain away all the inadequacies of his/her/its search engine. He/she/it would pop in now and then, say how good it was and say he was making improvements . Having the old search back is great!!!!!

If BoardTracker is no longer our search engine, why is he/she/it still going around looking at people's profiles? I usually only post to TV threads, nothing really exciting that I think a search engineer would want look at my profile.
