ACK! They changed the points on me!

I have been following WW, but using the old points program of 1,2,3 Success, then my sister sent me some information from the new program and the point allotment has changed! Does anyone know why? On the 1,2,3 program for 175-199 lbs. you can have up to 29 points, on the new program at the same weight range you can only have up to 27 points. That 2 point difference is important and I wonder why it has changed. Part of me is saying stick with the 1,2,3 program because I am losing (14 pounds in 6 weeks), but part of me is saying I need to switch to the current version, there must be a reason they changed the points. But those two points are huge when you consider the extra food. ACK!
 
If you're losing on the old system - stick with it and don't feel guilty! I have always found that I lose more when I use up ALL of my points. Fourteen pounds in 6 weeks is fantastic! :bounce:
 
I second what Nancy says. If it really bothers you that the new system suggests you lower your points by two, then just make a compromise and try lowering them by one for now. You'll reach a time when you'll have to lower them anyway, after you lose a certain amount of weight, right?

You have done a fantastic job! I am so proud of you. 14 pounds in 6 weeks is AWESOME!!! I could see if you were really struggling to lose weight and sticking to the program and not seeing results, but that's not the case! So stick with what has worked for you and try not to think about the new point change. And stay away from the pizza! ;)
 
Tigger, any Weight Watchers leader will tell you to stick with what works for you.

If 123 Success is working for you, stick with it. If and/or when you hit a plateau, then try using the Winning Points system.

But as long as you're getting the results you want, don't change it! If it ain't "baroque", don't fix it!!! ;)
 

I had gotten then newer winning points when it came out and I had been trying the 1-2-3 success before so I had both program materials. The changes are subtle and you really will not miss the point when you get used to it. Bottom line is whatever works for you run with it, don't feel guilty and don't look back!!!
 
I am on Winning Points but heard one of the main differences between this and the 1-2-3 program is now there is a limit of 4 grams of fiber when figuring points. I also heard through the grapevine that people weren't losing weight fast enough with 1-2-3 so that's why they lowered the points. But like others said, if its working so well (and it sure seems like it is - CONGRATULATIONS!) I'd stick with what you are already doing!
