My SIL and I had 'shared' the load in planning. She called and made all the ADRs afte I had spent all the time polling family etc to figure out which restaurant when etc etc etc. Fair enough.

Well, she has to cancel her trip... and I'm really bummed they can't go. BUT I just realized every single ADR is tied to her reservation. Do I have to remake each and everyone of those? Oh, I'm super duper stressed if so. We had it all just like I wanted... is there a way to transfer it?

Help me oh mighty DISers!

TIA!

I am not positively sure but this is what I would do......I would get each confirmation number for each reservation....I think if you call dining and ask them what they think you should do, they might have you cancel and remake the reservations.... I am not sure how I would handle it....maybe just show up with the 7 and tell them 3 decided not to show?????I know that is bad, but I am wondering if you try to redo them if you will get them again..

Maybe just call Dining and ask for advice...good luck..

I was so stressed to pick up the phone and call to find out WDWDINE was closed for the night. Don't they know I am having my first big Disney planning crisis? ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, until morning it is most likely. I hope it works out ok...

Do you have the same last name by any chance? Even so, I have only had to give my last name to get in, and I really doubt that they compare with your method of payment or anything.

I think if you have the conf # and thier last name you should be fine. I have never been asked for ID.

I guess I don't know about the change in number of people, but I don't think they require everyone to be present when you are seated.

I would think it is like if you were at the local Outback and your inlaws had to get home and left you and DH there and they called for "Smith party of four" I doubt you would be turned away if it was down to two. They want your money.

I think you will have less trouble and grief if you just go ahead and remake them. Get the list call and book for the same times if possible. Then cancel the others. Adrs unless guarenteed with a credit card or prepayed are not a commitment so it shouldnt be a big deal if you show up with less but if someone wanted to make trouble, you are supposed to have the person who's name it is in there (especially when credit card guarenteed) but at both credit card and non my husband tried to check in most of the time for us and a couple of places didnt let him. I have seen another post where people were hassled by servers/management about not having as many people as were on the reservation and wasting space....not that they didnt get seated. But I really think if you can take care of rebooking as many of the adr's as possible then not having to worry about it again you will have a lot less stress. Booking them really isnt that much trouble.....if you can get the times you want.

Do you have room reservation in your name.? If you do and have confirmation
number I would call Disney dining and tell them the situation. make sure you have SIL conformation #'s. it won't be a problem becuase of 2 things. 1 is your modifying an aleady existing ADR, and /or #2 you are cancelling your SIL ADR's and calling within a minute to make new ADR ;the odds that someone else would call within that minute (even seconds) to request that time/place are minimal. THE ONLY THING that would mess it up is if your SIL goes/went and cancelled the room without telling you .Then the ADR's are automatically cancelled! I think you wil be fine ,so I would stop worrying! :wizard:

Please let us know how you make out with DisneyDining.. I do hope it is not too difficult and the switchover from 10 to 7 is relatively quick and easy...

Called SIL and made sure she knew not to cancel room yet.

About to call WDW DINE

Fingers crossed

I still have not been able to call.

:(

I need the ADRs from SIL before I can do anything, PLUS it's summer and I haven't had ANY time away from the kids to make a call (it's a secret trip for the Fall!)

Sigh... hoping, wishing... it'll all work out I'm sure.

If you don't have the ADR #s, WDW Dining should be able to pull up all of the ADR's by SIL's telephone number. Even if (when) she cancels her room, the ADR's won't be cancelled (e.g. maybe she is just choosing a different resort). The CM should be able to reduce the number on the ADR's from 10 to 7 without problems. You shouldn't have to rebook, just adjust. I changed mine from 3 to 4 when I added DH in June. Good luck!
