Acer Notebook/Laptop?

Does anyone here have an Acer? How reliable has it been? Have you had a lot of problems?

I just bought an Acer Laptop from CompUSA in yesterday's Labor Day sale. It was a great price, but I am somewhat concerned about the reliability of the brand. I was planning to get an HP or possibly a Toshiba but this PC had just about everything I wanted at the price I wanted. It doesn't matter how much something costs if it's going to break easily, though .

I have an acer. as a matter of fact i'm typing this on it. I just recently bought mine as well, but i've had no problems. It came recomended to me by my mom, who's a purchacing officer for a corporation. She said acer mostly just sells their computers to brands like sony and they just slap their sony logo on it.

so basically, i bought a sony-type laptop for 550.00

Jeez, that logo costs a lot to attach, dunnit?

My uncle works with (and sometimes builds) computers for a living and he suggested that I get an Acer laptop. Hopefully I'll be getting one next month.

Yep! I got mine for Christmas last year. My husbands law firm uses a company for all of the firm's laptops/computers and this is what they recommended. We love it and have had no problems at all!
