Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

When we got to Pop Century, I was got off the bus, and the bus driver said “Where is your Mom at?” My Mom? He thought Tracy was my mom. In my mind I thought “my Mom is back in Indiana”.

Either your wheelchair is the fountain of youth or that bus driver needs new glasses.

Great installment(s), it's always neat to hear 2 sides to the story.

great to hear your version also. :thumbsup2 looking forward to more.

I love Bill's side.

Bill, how fun to have the guy's version of the same story. Never thought of doing that because it's definitely more fun. Especially the comments about the picture taking (my DH thinks I'm ridiculous with the pictures) and then of course, you not getting the themed Christmas tree was too funny. I'm buying a new snowman ornament every year for my grandson. I will give them to him when he grows up and gets his own place.

And I loved poor little Ace's face when you were leaving. I just about have to give my dogs sedatives when we leave because they are so upset about it. And I do know how nice it is to be able to once in awhile sleep in a bed without a dog. We leave in 9 days and I think I'm more excited about sleeping dogless than I am about the trip itself.

Can't wait until your next update. And congrats on the good grades you got.

Hi, Bill! Glad you're back, really, but Yikes!! Someone ought to slap you upside the head for posting that!!! ;) How embarrassing!

Tracy's too sweet to do it, so I'll have to do it for her.....

....get ready....take off your glasses....here it comes.....

**SMACK!!**

Oh, and congratulations on the two "A"s, Mr. Smartypants! :cool1:

Kathy

Glad you are back posting updates Bill - so nice to get your perspective on things.

Congrats on the grades and upcoming internship! What are you studying? (Sorry if you've already mentioned this..:confused3 )

Love the look on Ace's face as you guys were getting ready to leave - my dogs and cats always know when we are going out of town. The look just about kills me! Then they pout for a while when we return.

Can't wait for more from both of you! :)

Hi Bill and Tracy(MoM!!!) I'm sure Tracy appreciated that comment! Glad to hear your side Bill! My DH's side of our trip story would probably have to be sensored! At least the driving part! Can't wait to see those SSW pictures!

Nice update Bill....

I like the mom comment... especially what you were thinking in your head.:thumbsup2 :lmao:

Thanks Jordan, it isn't the first time someone thought Tracy was my mom, or sister, or personal aide :sad2:.

Hi Bill! Nice update - I love getting your side of the story!

Hi SeptemberGirl, Hold tight there is more to come...

I know what you mean about Pin Trading . My son saves his money all year for Disney and about the only thing he buys is pins. He thought it was cool that he needed two lanyards for all of them. I didn't think it was so cool when his neck started to ache and I had to carry them in the backpack. Those things are heavy!

Hi Lynn. I have gone pin trading crazy. Ebay is evil. We have purchased 11 pins since we got home :scared:, half of those will be traders for our trips. Tracy made sure the sellers were good people by looking on the Collector board here.

I love how you tell us what you were thinking!! And "your Mom"!!!!! Tracy does NOT look old enough to be your mom!!! Unfortunatly I'm sure he didn't look far enough past the wheelchair to even try to determine your age. :sad2:
Poor Ace. So THAT's why you wanted the Cap Jack!!!!!!

I thought of ya'll this week. We went to Galveston (I won tickets!! )and at Moody Gardens we also had tickets for the ice rink. To make a long story short. After much pleading and begging from Braeton I took him out on the ice!! you couldn't carry kids so I hunk onto him with one hand and the wall with the other!!! I tried to trap his feet inbetween mine and off we went!! It took us about 20 min to go one lap nad my arm felt like it was falling off and my legs STILL hurt. Mind you I can barely keep myself up on those things!!! But we made it without falling. I pushed and drug him around and he is still talking about it!!! He went "ice skating". I know that it was dangerous and I know I was crazy, but he wanted to so bad. Braeton can walk some and He can stand independantly so it made it tryable anyway! But I thought of you and Tracy when this woman was watching at us as we got off and when I lifted him up to carry him to our seat she was just frowning. When I lifted him into his wheelchair her jaw almost hit the ground!!!:rotfl2: I didn't say anything but have been told a good saying would have been "Tomorrow we go sky diving!!!!:rotfl:

Congrats on the A's and the internship!!
Thanks to both of you for writing this report!!
We will be waiting for more!!!!!:goodvibes

Hi Lee, I always like to aggravate Ace:rotfl:. As for the bus driver, like I said to Jordan, it isn't the first time. One time we went to the store, the cashier said that it was nice that I had someone to help me. I told her she was more than my helper and Tracy flashed the ring on her finger. The cashier said "way to go". Tracy wanted to smack her :rotfl2:.

I loved the ice rink story. My Dad was always doing things like that. He bought me a 4 wheeler and modified it so all the controls were on the left. I am sure a lot of people thought he was nuts, but who cares. It is great you help Braeton experience life the way he wants to. You are a great mom :thumbsup2.

As for the "tomorrow we go skydiving" statement, I would love to do that. I tell Tracy that all the time. Thank you for your congrats on the grades, I worked very hard to get them.

Either your wheelchair is the fountain of youth or that bus driver needs new glasses.
Great installment(s), it's always neat to hear 2 sides to the story.

MRYPPNS, you are so right about him needing glasses, although people do say I am very youthful looking ;). I hope to catch up with Tracy's installments this weekend.

great to hear your version also. :thumbsup2 looking forward to more.

I love Bill's side.

Scott and Hedy, thank you so much for reading our story. I enjoy talking about our trips and I just have to add things here and there. Tracy does enough talking for the both of us :headache: .

Tracy seems to go overboard with the pictures. I don't understand taking pictures of the food :confused3. I want to eat it, not see pictures of it later.

I thought it was funny about the Christmas tree too, but I am used to my mom changing her mind. (My real mom, not Tracy :rotfl2:, oh wait she changes her mind all the time too). Great idea about the ornaments for your grandson.

Ace seriously loves going to Animal Crackers. He does seem upset about the suitcases, but seems to forget all about it when we pull into the boarders parking lot. He is practically jumping over Tracy to get out the door. Makes me wonder if he misses us at all??

Thanks for the congrats on the grades, I try really hard to do well.

Kathy

Kathy, do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry :sad1: ?

I might like it if you hit me because I sure liked it all those times you kissed me :lmao:. j/k

I am SO glad you are back on the boards, Tracy and I have really missed your updates and posts.

Thanks for the congratulations.

Glad you are back posting updates Bill - so nice to get your perspective on things.

Congrats on the grades and upcoming internship! What are you studying? (Sorry if you've already mentioned this..:confused3 )

Hi mkluvsmickey. It is so nice that the posters like hearing my side of things. I am getting my masters in Rehabilitation Management. I hope to become an assistant director at a camp (in Florida :rotfl: ) for people with special needs one day. When I dream, I always dream big.

Ace doesn't pout when we come back, he wiggles his behind so much he can barely walk straight when we pick him up and when we get home he sleeps for hours. He is a bit clingy when for about a week after we come home.

Hi Bill and Tracy(MoM!!!) I'm sure Tracy appreciated that comment! Glad to hear your side Bill! My DH's side of our trip story would probably have to be sensored! At least the driving part! Can't wait to see those SSW pictures!

Hi Poohtigeey. Oh I am sooo glad Tracy didn't hear the bus driver call her that. I would love to hear your husband's side of your trip.

There are many SSW pictures. I don't think I hardly saw Tracy's face without the camera in front of it all that weekend.

Is there a Pin Tradingoholics meeting some where on the DIS? If not Bill and I need to start one. Why are we going insane over these things? I really want to know.

Oh I remember two words: Donna Lynn :lmao: . Just kidding Donna, I hope you know how much we adore you.

The "way to go" comment is not the reason I wanted to smack her. Her attempting to high five me was why I wanted to smack her .

Lee it is wonderful that you do whatever you need to do to help Braeton experience what he wants to :grouphug:.

Tracy does enough talking for the both of us :headache: .

Hey you are starting to sound like Montana Disney fan, have you been reading his TR ?

Tracy seems to go overboard with the pictures. I don't understand taking pictures of the food :confused3. I want to eat it, not see pictures of it later.

What he fails to tell you is that there were a couple of restaurants we weren't sure we wanted to try or not, so I showed him FOOD pictures in the food porn threads and it did help us to decide. His short term memory must be failing.

I thought it was funny about the Christmas tree too, but I am used to my mom changing her mind. (My real mom, not Tracy :rotfl2:, oh wait she changes her mind all the time too).

Well, what do you know, the DIS is turning Bill into a comedian, a bad one but a comedian.

Kathy, do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry :sad1: ?

I might like it if you hit me because I sure liked it all those times you kissed me :lmao:. j/k

Hey you just ruined my last cliffhanger!!

I am SO glad you are back on the boards, Tracy and I have really missed your updates and posts.

I second that statement. The DISboards are better when you are around!

He is serious about the Florida statement, he gets a newsletter with camp jobs all across the country. He looks for the Illinois, Indiana, and Florida availablities.

Ace wiggles so much he almost goes in a circle. He does pass out when we get home and he makes exhausted moaning noises from time to time.

There are many SSW pictures. I don't think I hardly saw Tracy's face without the camera in front of it all that weekend.

OK, I do admit I do take too many pictures during SSW , but usually the stars are together and it is hard to get a decent shot without one of them making a weird face.

Who would have thought Bill was so funny :rotfl:.

Tracy - just noticed your TWO tickers! Did you plan a trip for this year already? I just knew you would! ;)

Bill, loved your side! I'm looking foward to hearing more from both of you.
I was also just noticing that November tickor, something we should know??:thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the great updates. Can't wait until you get to SSW details. Bill - there is no such thing as to many pictures.

OK - seeing as it's 1:18am and I have to be up in a few hours, but instead of sleeping I have read this entire report, I suppose I don't have to actually say that I'm enjoying it... buy I will anyway...

I am really enjoying your report, Tracy and Bill!!!

I'm a little late to your TR Tracy & Bill. This is one the best I've read so far. You are both such warm-hearted people. And, I'm only on page 19!!!
And unlike a certain person named Buzz. You update quickly! :rotfl:

Sims 2 for a little bit.

I LOVE Sims2! Bill, do you belong to The Sims Resource?

I know this is old news to all of you, but I'm reading everything. Oh yeah, I'm at work too. :rolleyes1
