Are you a writer? if not you should be! princess: Going to get more wine,,be right back to catch up,,,,, Carrie

Great update Tracy! :thumbsup2 I feel sorry for that baby too...

I'll post some of my scrapbook pics when I finally get to them. :rolleyes1 Still recovering from the 30+ pages I made for various calendars that I gave as Christmas gifts.

Amy

Hi again! Another great update! (We must have crossed paths - I posted before I saw your second update.) Looks like a gorgeous day at MK. I love your pictures. I have memories of ALWAYS being attacked by birds in Tomorrowland! Luckily it didn't happen this year (Alex would have FREAKED :scared1: ) - probably because we didn't eat there this time around - but I have had that problem more than once before!
Amy

Hi Amy, I would love to see the scrapbook pics. I don't think we will be eating anywhere outside at Tomorrowland again :rotfl:. It was too traumatic.

Yay Tracy and Bill!! Looks like you had fun! We're heading to POP in April...I need to get me some of that cheesecake!! Love the Mickey/flag t-shirts!

Hi jkCT, We had a blast, the cheesecake is good, just remember your teeth will be different colors, we were laughing at each other. I took a pic of Bill after he ate it, but he asked me not to post it :confused3. What a spoil sport. We got those t-shirts from the disney shopping website.

Did you feel like Tippi Hedren in the Birds? ;)

Buzz is one of my favorite rides as is COP....and it IS a great big beautiful tomorrow......:thumbsup2

YOU MET HEATHER? Lucky you. I hope to meet up w/ her in February...that is if she ever comes back to the DIS.:confused3

Hi Jordan, I am always worried that this will happen to one of us: ewww. I loved both those rides, we acted so goofy on Buzz, it was GREAT!! I really enjoyed COP. Yes, we briefly met Heather, just a "Hi, how are you" kinda thing. She is even more gorgeous in person. I hope everything is ok with her and her family, she hasn't posted in a while.

Tracy, You sure do take some great pictures! Glad you got to do a bunch of new things.

Hi coles1mom!! Thank you for your compliment about the pictures, I try. I take many pictures then try to pick the better ones to post. I am glad we got to do new things too. I can't wait to go back for more!!

Wonderfull Wonderfull updates Tracey!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

:yay: for ya'll letting them go on ahead!!!

A CM didn't know who the muppets were????? Isn't that against Disney law or something????:confused3

Cheers on the VIP bus!!

Love all the pics you do such a good job!!!!:goodvibes I love that one of you and Bill at EPCOT and the ones with the matching flag shirts!!!:cool1:
And I spy Pal Mickey!!! He's looks like he's enjoying his ride on Bills tray!!

Also what neat character experiences Bill had. That was just too cute about stitch and isn't Chip a big Ham!!

We also had to run from the birds one time! I thought it was a riot!

So So glad ya'll had a great time!! Can't wait for MORE!!!

Hi Lee!! Bill and I did feel so much better to just let that bus go and wait for another one. I was truly shocked when that CM didn't know who Fozzie was :sad2:, it was just too sad for words. We had more bus rides like that later in the trip.

I have fun taking all the pictures, but I do have to remind myself to just take everything in and enjoy instead of taking pictures constantly. Pal Mickey went with us every single day, we love him. He will go on all future trips, including the cruise.

The character interactions were great with Bill and me too. I loved how Stitch went crazy for Bill and Chip was totally cracking me up putting his finger in his mouth like that. It is funny looking back on the bird incidents now, then not so much :rotfl2:.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Can't wait to see who you meet next!

Hi Hedy, we did meet some very interesting people.

Hi Tracey,
How did you like LTT? I'm thinking of adding to my next trip. Did you enjoy the food? I don't know if we should go for lunch (no characters) or dinner. Did it take you a long time to have your meal.

I'm green with envy of your Cricut. I saw the demo commerical on tv and the disney character stuff is soooooo cute!

Looking forward to your next installment.

Heidi

Hi Heidi, we loved LTT. We liked the food a lot. I have some food pics:

Here is the salad and bread:

WDW2007Day3014LTTbreadandsalad.jpg

Here is the main course food, I forgot to take pictures before I put some on the plate for Bill:

WDW2007Day3017LTTmaincoursefood.jpg

Sadly, there are no dessert pictures, we just dug into it :lmao:. The characters were fabulous and fun. It did not take us a long time to have the meal, the food came quickly. It depends on you and our family as to how long you are there. The place was packed when we were there and we still got to see all the characters at least twice. We will be going back.

I think I might be getting a Cricut Disney cartridge or two for Valentines Day :rolleyes1, we will see.

Hi Tracy! Great updates! I think we'll try LTT next time. The character interaction seems great! Love your pics. Bill always seems to be having a great time! I couldn't believe all of the TINY babies we saw on our trip. We also saw one about 2-3 weeks old! Start em early I guess!

BTW, I also got a Cricut for Christmas! From my hubbie!:lovestruc With a Disney cartridge! I'm so proud of him!:rotfl: Now I just need to figure out how to use it!

Can't wait to hear about AK!

Hi Monica!! We really did enjoy LTT. Bill has a great time no matter where he goes. YAY on the Cricut, what a good hubby you have there!! I can't wait to see what you do with it, you are so creative!!

Great update Tracy. I'm glad you and Bill got to try out Buzz Lightyear.

I loved the pic of your empty long-island. Since I'm a scrapbooker too, I will have to remember to take those "after" pics for some great humor for this next book. I'm on a diet so I'm only having 2 drinks while I'm there in two weeks and I've already planned out which two those are. Now we'll see if I can stick to the plan.

I'll be waiting for the next installment.

Hi Pakey, We loved Buzz and will be going back. I will make sure to take the foot rests and the tray off his chair so he is more comfortable this time. The tray came off but the foot rests made his feet stick out, I want him to be as comfortable as possible.

Bill thought I was nuts for taking a picture of an empty glass, but since I was a little more relaxed from the drink I didn't care. I thought it was funny. I hope you picked out 2 good drinks :thumbsup2.

just found your report and it is great. love the pics. :thumbsup2

Hi scottny and thank you so much for joining us!! We really appreciate you taking the time to read ours when there are so many amazing ones.

Thanks for the double updates Tracy! :thumbsup2

I can't believe this was your first time to Tomorrowland! Glad you got to ride CoP - one of my favorites. Buzz Lightyear is fun too - who got more points??

Love your picture of the castle. :lovestruc

LTT sounds great - I have never eaten there but have always wanted to try it.

Great pictures - love the matching shirts! :)

Hi Michelle!! Your welcome. I can't believe it was my first time in Tomorrowland either. COP is one of our favorites now too. I honestly don't know who got more points, I was too busy laughing to even look. I am going to get that castle picture enlarged and put it in my new craft room when I set it up :thumbsup2. I already have a free 8 x 10 from walgreens of Bill and I with Mickey ready to go. As I have said about 1000 times already, Bill and I really liked LTT. Bill thought I was silly about the matching shirts, at least I got him to do it one day.

Thank you for the 2 NEW installments! Seems like forever! I am so glad you guys had a GREAT Christmas! My sister got a crict like you too! She was excited! Well, we have 2 months and 3 weeks and 6 days until we go! Im excited!

Hi Tink!! We had a fantastic Christmas. Good for your sister, now you have to use it too :rotfl:. You will have so much fun going to WDW. I hope you do a TR!!

You two are SO cute together! I love the shots of you!

And God Bless you for thinking of that baby. I always say a little prayer for those tiny ones and their moms and dads - it's hard parenting a newborn no matter how old you are. And on a trip, too!

Great updates and nice Christmas presents! :)

Hi SeptemberGirl. Thank you for the compliments. It had to be frustrating for the parents. Hopefully they learned from that experience to do things a little more differently to accomodate the baby better.

Wow! Excellent update!!! Your pictures are incredible!!

That poor baby. Geez.

We love Ohana's too. I ate so much there, I got a belly ache. I just couldn't stop. That meat was soooo good.

How can someone not know who Fozzie Bear is?? :confused3 Yesterday, I almost bought Season 2 of the Muppet Show, but at the last minute, I put it back. I couldn't find a price on it and didn't want to spend a fortune (trying to recover from Christmas now!).

Even my kids know who Fozzie Bear is and they're only 6 and 8 years old!! He's actually my favorite Muppet-I think he's so funny. I have a stuffed one my brother bought me for Christmas around 1980 and I still have it only his little hat is kind of cracked now so he's tucked safely away in a box.

Hi Linnie!! Thank you so much for the sweet words. Bill can really pack the food away at O'Hana. I have never seen him eat so much food in the whole time I have known him.

I have got to get The Muppets on DVD for us, we would have a ball watching that. I can't believe she didn't know who Fozzie was either, I didn't want to even talk to her after she said that to us :snooty:.

Your kids know the Muppets because you are raising them RIGHT :thumbsup2.

:wave2: Hi Tracy, I followed your link from Buzz`s TR,, I`m only on page one but I love your stories so far,:goodvibes You are both very special people and your stories are touching,,,I`m only still on the camp one! Are you a writer? if not you should be! princess: Going to get more wine,,be right back to catch up,,,,, Carrie

Hi carrieannie, thank you so much for joining us!! You are so sweet to say those things to us. I know I went on and on in the pre trippie, but I couldn't seem to help myself.

I am not a writer, but thank you so much for the compliment. After reading about wine all the time on Buzz's trip report, I am going to have to start drinking it :rotfl2:.

OK, I can't take it. I have to tell someone. Bill just booked a Disney land and sea package for us, 3 days on land (we are going to add more days) and 4 days at sea December 10-17 2009 .

:woohoo: Yippee!! I'm so happy for you!! :woohoo:

Slowly catching up......

:grouphug: KATHY!!!:grouphug:

Bill and I are so happy you are back. We stopped what we were doing to read your latest trip installment!!

This cruise trip has taken a life of it's own. We started out 3 days on land - 4 at sea. Now we are doing 9 days at the Poly and then 4 days on the Wonder.

How in the world did he talk me into us spending that kind of money :confused3? Those blue eyes did it to me again
1zhelp.gif

I hope you are around more often you were truly missed.

Tracy, as so many other people have said, you should be a writer. You have a great way of telling events. I can totally picture them in my head even though I haven't experienced them. And I'm not a visual person, so that's a hard task for me to do, but reading your TR makes it really easy for me!

Your telling of the soap opera event was so great (I used to follow Port Charles, but after they cancelled it, I got so mad, I can't watch any soaps). Just reading your TR about it makes me want to watch the soaps again! However, I don't think Buz would approve of that. We'd just gotten home from Disneyland and I heard they cancelled it and I threw the suitcase down the stairs and dented the wall. Oops. I loved that show. Probably better not get hooked any show again....

Linnie, thank you so much for your gracious words. I happen to think KathyRN is the real writer among us, but thank you so much for the compliments.

I love that you threw your suitcase when you found out about Port Charles being cancelled :rotfl:. The guy that played Caleb is on One Life to Live. Many of the Port Charles people are on other ABC shows now. I miss Lucy :sad1:.

Tracy and Bill, congrats on booking the cruise. We go Jan 09 for ours and I know you guys are as excited as we are. I'm already working on door decorations with a year to go!!!!!

And I miss Lucy too. Yup, I'm an ABC soap watcher. Thank goodness for the soap network and I get to watch them when I get home from work.

Tracy! Great update and AWESOME pictures! You are so creative with your picture link!! Can't wait to hear more about the trip and your circut. :lmao:

Hi Tracy and Bill,

Great trip report :goodvibes I actually met you at the bus stop at POP one day. You noticed my DIS shirt ;) I'm glad you both had a great time , I did too. :)

Looking forward to reading more of your report. :yay:

Hi Pakey, I am not working on cruise stuff just yet. I need to get the cruise guides first. We are going to WDW in November so I am going to focus on that first :thumbsup2. I watch the ABC soaps, I love soapnet. I will post some pictures from Super Soap Weekend someday on here. I know I am going rather slowly.

Tracy! Great update and AWESOME pictures! You are so creative with your picture link!! Can't wait to hear more about the trip and your circut. :lmao:

Aww thanks Kimmy for the compliments, I just decided to do something different with my link. Sad to say I have not even opened the Cricut yet :sad2: .

Hi jeminni!! Thank you so much for joining us. I think you met us the day we arrived. I can't believe I didn't write down your DIS name that day. It is a lesson learned, I am going to make sure I write down all DISer names from now on.

Hello everyone!! I am back in action. I have been out of school about 3 weeks now. As you probably know from Tracy I did a good job this last semester and got 2 A’s. Now I can relax a bit, ahhhhh. In the middle of the month I will start doing an internship.

Thank you all for reading the installments. I thought I would let Tracy start for a while, because she likes to talk :hyper2:, but me, all I like to do is fill in the gaps. Now it is time for me to start replying to what Tracy has already posted.

Getting to St. Louis: When we woke up the day to go to St. Louis I was still tired because Tracy was up late making sure everything was packed and not able to sleep. She was so excited like a little girl. I think Ace knew something was going on when Tracy was packing the van. He had that look. I took a picture of it:

Billspicoface.jpg

That is him looking up at me sitting in the wheelchair. As usual when we got to Animal Crackers he didn’t care that we were leaving, there were PUPPIES there. We told him goodbye, I had to make Tracy leave and we got back in the van headed for St. Louis.

I always listen to Hair Nation on Sirius, but I knew Tracy would not enjoy listening to that for two hours so I switched it to “The Big 80’s” something we both would enjoy. I think it relaxed her, which was a good thing.

The drive was pretty uneventful until we got close to St. Louis. I can’t tell you how many times Tracy and I have seen the Arch so why was she trying to drive down the interstate and take a picture of it :confused3?

picofarch.jpg

When we go to baseball games, we are in a hotel RIGHT NEXT to the Arch. She can see it up close. I think she was just trying to take pictures for the trip report.

When we got to the Marriott, we checked in, and went looking for the room. I never thought they would have us as far away from the front of the hotel as they could physically get us. I was trying to be safe this trip and had requested us to be on the ground floor, so if there was an emergency Tracy wouldn’t have to carry me down several flights of stairs. I would also be able to keep my wheelchair this way. I had requested a handicap accessible room. I guess that is why we were placed a country mile away from the lobby. However, if it hadn’t been freezing we could have gone right out the back door of the room and been at the swimming pool. We were actually very close to where Tracy had to park the van, so she was able to put up the St. Louis bag up and get out our luggage for WDW.

Tracy was too tired to want to go out on the town, so we ate at the hotel. We both had the roasted chicken again. Tracy complained that she had forgotten her camera in the room and couldn’t take pictures of the food. I was thinking “big deal, just enjoy the food, no more driving, we are here”, but I didn’t say that. I just laughed about it, because Tracy knows what she wants and she wanted pictures for the trip report. She didn’t want to disappoint any of you or have the report be boring.

I don’t think it took long for either of us to fall asleep that night. We were both very tired and that bed is so comfortable. We had a king bed, no Ace to be stretching out, and we could both just relax. Tracy had to go over the list in her head out loud about what she would have to do in the morning. It is easier just to let her do it, then to tell her not to worry.

FLYING TO FLORIDA: The wake up phone call came a lot faster than I thought it would. It seemed I had just closed my eyes then the phone was ringing. Tracy was already awake, she was still excited. She got off the phone and was smiling because the operator had called her “Mrs. K”. We got ready quickly and made our way to the lobby.

I thought it was very nice that they had a note for the bellman saying what time we needed the accessible shuttle. I was happy that our driver knew how to work the lift. I am always a little bit scared of that because one time I was on a lift and the person hit the wrong control almost knocking me backwards. We made it to the airport very quickly.

Check in was a breeze, it was the first time we had done it curbside, they even checked the wheelchair :thumbsup2. The TSA agents do more checking on me than an able bodied person. I was patted, wanded, swiped, and groped while Tracy put things on the conveyor belt then put her shoes back on.

Tracy and I spotted the woman that Tracy posted the pic of, the lady with the Chip and Dale hat. Her name was Kathy and she was really nice. Her husband was very quiet. As we were walking toward our gate we heard an announcement on the PA system. “Could the party that left their shoes at security come collect them”. I looked at Tracy and we both started laughing, someone forgot to put their shoes back on. I found that a bit odd.

We boarded the plane, had an uneventful flight, and before we knew it we were in Florida. Ahhh, it was time to get warm!!! I was ready to get back into my wheelchair. We made our way through the airport and down to the Magical Express desk. I never thought I would meet someone from Indiana right away, the cast member and I talked about college basketball.

It didn’t take too long for the accessible bus to come. There were many people at ME that day, we usually fly in on a Tuesday not a Saturday. I was looking at the pictures when we got home. While I was getting strapped in on the ME bus Tracy was taking these pictures:

gps.jpg

tvmonitor.jpg

Why? I don’t know :sad2:.

When we got to Pop Century, I was got off the bus, and the bus driver said “Where is your Mom at?” My Mom? He thought Tracy was my mom. In my mind I thought “my Mom is back in Indiana”.

I was surprised there was practically no one in the lobby. Check in went very smoothly. We went to Everything Pop and got Pal Mickey. They took him out of the box for us, he was strapped in very securely. The two employees were fussing about who was going to cut what straps, it was funny to watch them fighting, but not trying to argue in front of us.

The room was not too far away from the food court and the bus stops which was nice. The room was great for a value resort. I have been in all three levels of Disney resorts and the only differences are room size and how thick the walls are, LOL.

We got cleaned up and headed for DTD.

Next up… Part 2 of my side

Nice update Bill....

I like the mom comment... especially what you were thinking in your head.:thumbsup2 :lmao:

We were in line for the DTD bus and Tracy spotted a DISer. I think this was jeminni that just posted to us (Hi jeminni). I am just going to tell you my thoughts about some things on the trip so my installments won’t be pages long.

Tracy had posted that I didn’t want a light saber :darth: at Once Upon a Toy. I didn’t want one because I didn’t know what I would do with it if we bought it. Yes, it would have been neat, but not practical. It is not like I would take it out and play with it every day. With Captain Jack, I could look at it and turn the motion sensor on to aggravate Ace anytime I wanted to.

Pin trading is going to become my very expensive hobby. After walking into Pin Traders, I knew I had to try to restrain myself that first day. There were so many pins I wanted. I didn’t want to buy too many pins right away, I knew there would be more in the parks and in the specific stores.

Me pointing to my favorite pin:

Billpointingoutfavpin.jpg

The World of Disney doesn’t bother me like it does Tracy, I do like to look around but it is always crowded :crowded:. When we walked into Arribas Bros. Crystal I was thinking “this would be a very bad place for people in ECV’s”. Can you imagine the damage that could be done :lmao:? I found a great little black dog for my Mom for Christmas – She LOVED it!!

When I think of Capt’n Jacks the word YUMMY comes to mind. We are going back and I am ordering the same exact meal, twin lobster tails and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. What happened to Cherry Coke at WDW  ?? I swear when I went to Disney before Tracy they had real Cherry Coke, by real I mean straight from the Coca Cola Company. This none Coca Cola Cherry Coke bummed Tracy and I out.

We went specifically to the Christmas store to get a snowman ornament for our tree. We got a cute one. We did this because my Mom had been going on and on about decorating our tree with nothing but snowmen. She had dragged Tracy from store to store looking at them. When my Mom and Dad came with all my Christmas stuff it was the same stuff as last year. When we went to their house, the family room had this tree (one of 4 Christmas trees in their house):

snowmantree.jpg

Snowmen EVERYWHERE!! On top of us not getting the snowmen for our house she stated she didn’t like this tree, she disliked it so much she talked about taking it down. Ok enough ranting about me not getting the snowman tree. We made our way back to Pop. We were in Florida and so happy  !!

Next installment from me … Part 3 of my side

Tracy and Bill

Whew! I am all caught up now. Between my TR and the Holidays I really got behind! It was so considerate of you to let the family with the crying baby leave on the bus before you! If more people thought the way you do, this would be a much better world!

It looks like you had a blast at LTT! We really like this too!

I know what you mean about Pin Trading . My son saves his money all year for Disney and about the only thing he buys is pins. He thought it was cool that he needed two lanyards for all of them. I didn't think it was so cool when his neck started to ache and I had to carry them in the backpack. Those things are heavy!

I promise to keep reading if you promise to keep posting!

Lynn

WOW I leave and come back to two installments from Bill!!!:yay:
I love how you tell us what you were thinking!! And "your Mom"!!!!! Tracy does NOT look old enough to be your mom!!! Unfortunatly I'm sure he didn't look far enough past the wheelchair to even try to determine your age. :sad2:
Poor Ace. So THAT's why you wanted the Cap Jack!!!!!!

I thought of ya'll this week. We went to Galveston (I won tickets!! )and at Moody Gardens we also had tickets for the ice rink. To make a long story short. After much pleading and begging from Braeton I took him out on the ice!! you couldn't carry kids so I hunk onto him with one hand and the wall with the other!!! I tried to trap his feet inbetween mine and off we went!! It took us about 20 min to go one lap nad my arm felt like it was falling off and my legs STILL hurt. Mind you I can barely keep myself up on those things!!! But we made it without falling. I pushed and drug him around and he is still talking about it!!! He went "ice skating". I know that it was dangerous and I know I was crazy, but he wanted to so bad. Braeton can walk some and He can stand independantly so it made it tryable anyway! But I thought of you and Tracy when this woman was watching at us as we got off and when I lifted him up to carry him to our seat she was just frowning. When I lifted him into his wheelchair her jaw almost hit the ground!!!:rotfl2: I didn't say anything but have been told a good saying would have been "Tomorrow we go sky diving!!!!:rotfl:
Congrats on the A's and the internship!!
Thanks to both of you for writing this report!!
We will be waiting for more!!!!!:goodvibes
