Hello all! I just stumbled upon this thread and just caught up on all the pages. My BF has CP too and we're planning our second trip to WDW this November for his birthday. Last year we went for my birthday in December, and we just fell in love with all the decorations. Although we'd been together for 2 years by that time, the idea of tackling WDW was really intimidating! He uses crutches, but WDW being so large and so encompassing, I tried to get him to rent a wheelchair, but his ego wouldn't have it! After two days and many blisters, he finally gave in and the trip took a turn--we really began to have fun then!
So now we're planning our second trip, the second week of Nov so we can attend MVMCP on Nov 15th. We were both quite impressed how well WDW handled his needs. Our only issue was trying to get on the Buzz Lightyear ride--those rolling walkways were going way too fast! The CM didn't slow it down for us--it was almost a disaster!
Obviously, this pre-trip/love story rang pretty close to my heart. I just see a great man I love, but others are not so forgiving. We have a happy, teasing relationship, and some people thing I'm his mean nurse! But we both have a snarky sense of humor and make each other laugh. Some people think I'm crazy or limiting myself for being with him, but I think I'm the lucky one!
Please keep the updates coming...its so inspirational for me and I'm cheering you on with every entry! Thank you for sharing your lives with us!

!! So great to hear from another woman that loves a man with CP. Bill is the best thing that ever happened to me besides my son. I hope you enjoy WDW as much as we always do.
?
!! Talk about how many days we are going, how we have transportation to and from the airport (they love the Magical Express idea), I threw in the SSW stuff (his Mom watches the ABC soaps, she was actually excited when I said Susan Luccis name) and tell them about the deal we got on the vacation package. I told them about waiting for the Ding on Southwest to get a good airfare, and I also told them about the
. She said she can tell how much I love him.
and finally more relaxed about the trip. Things were falling into place.
I love reading your updates! Keep them coming!
They word things in a way where you think something that's not true!
And she sounds ready for you to be mrsksomeday, too!
So glad the parents didn't give you any grief, let the planning roll on.
