Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

Love the shirts! Did you design them? I'm so nervous to do the iron ons!

I got the black mickey head off the design board. The grumpy one I just found clip art of him and assembled it. The fireworks design is one picture of the castle and then I found the mickey head fireworks on the design board. The Christmas one is clip art as well.

I am thinking I will get more creative for my MVMCP shirt. I just was chicken at first, but glad how they turned out. I have Paint Shop Pro and am usually way more creative, lol.

Thanks for taking the time to read my report.

Well! Who knew you were such the crafty-person?!:rotfl:

Now my shirts better come out okay or I won't be able to live it down!!

(I know how important it is for you to finally let Bill's mom and dad know about the trip... what a relief!!)

 ...right back atcha!

Can't wait for the next installment! :hyper:

Wow what a great pre-trip report! I followed your link over from the SSW thread and have really enjoyed getting to know you and your df (and sweet little Ace) during the past hour or so.

Sure hope we cross paths at SSW. I'll be looking for you and Bill. Only 43 days to go!!!
:cool1:

Ricky's Girl, we will be staying at Pop too. Maybe we will run into one another at the resort, the busses, or at MGM.

mrsksomeday I forgot to tell you your shirts were awesome! I guess I need to get busy and do something for our trip. Would you believe I've been working on shirts for Dec. 2008 but hadn't even thought about shirts for this Nov? Duh!!!! I'm blaming it on that Thorsten Kaye and those glorious photos on his website. :rotfl: Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Also the photo of Ace watching Animal Planet . . . OMG how precious!

Looking forward to meeting you both. I'm sure we'll cross paths at the Pop or MGM. :cheer2:

Alright. I was really trying to figure it out by myself, but I was finally going to ask what was SSW. Then as I was typing I figured it out! Super Soap Weekend! Is it crowded then? Have any of you ever seen Jason from GH? I don't get crushes on stars, but....

I don't know about calling myself crafty. I stole... hmm.. I mean picked up some LGMH's yesterday and don't have a clue of what to do with them. I PM'd you about it. I am not doing a LGMH countdown for two people in their 30's :lmao:.

Great shirts! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much. I was so worried I would mess them up some way.

Great shirts! Isn't it fun? I had a lot of fun making ours!

After I got over being worried, I had a ball making them. I loved your shirts, they were so cute :thumbsup2.

Thorsten has that effect on me too :rotfl:. Ace is silly. Sometimes I take the laptop in the bedroom when Bill is overloading me on football, baseball, all sorts of sports. Ace always comes with me and lays right next to me. If i turn the tv on he watches it. It is up on a high dresser, he seems to get tired of looking up so he turns around and watches the tv through the mirror on the opposite wall. Lazy or very smart?? You decide.

I will have LMGH's on Bill's backpack on his wheelchair and hanging from my camera strap. Not sure where else and how to attach them. Hopefully people will take pity on me and tell me what to do with them :rotfl2:. Will you have an LGMH's?

Yes, it can be very crowded at SSW :crowded:. I will discuss it a little more in future installments. Jason (Steve Burton) has confirmed he will NOT be attending SSW :sad1: . It is so NOT fair.

I think Ace is very smart.

Yes, I will have LGMH's on my backpack. My niece had a neat idea that I'm going to borrow. She kept the LGMH's on the backing card and put a tiny little Mickey head on the front to cover a Home Depot logo (I think). On the back she put a sticker with her DISboards info and then her name. I thought they would be neat to hand out to fellow DISer's. I'm assuming you're all as memory impaired as I am. :rotfl2: No matter how hard I try I forget a persons name 1 second after it is given to me! I've already made a note to myself to write down your names before I go so I won't forget!

Just wanted to say i LOVE your shirts...I want to make one for our trip but am not creative at all. Posted on the creative board but no luck..All well!

Why didn't you have any luck? Didn't anyone respond? I think sometimes everyone thinks someone else is doning it! I would be happy to work on something for you. I have some designs on the boards. I'm new, but I'd love to try to help! PM me w/ your request if you want to. (I understand if I'm not quite what your looking for!)

I didn't want to admit I knew his real name! I know GH is not real, but I like to pretend! Has he ever attended? He's a hottie! (Yes, I'm too old to use the word hottie!)

GREAT REPORT...I can't wait to hear more...like how the news went to the "in-laws"!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

That's a great idea about about putting the info on the back. Yes I am as memory impaired as you are, but Bill's mind is as sharp as a tack. I find myself saying "Bill could you remind me later, Bill do you remember what I asked you to tell me". He laughs and tells me everything I am forgetting.

Thanks for your kind words about the shirts. I have seen Pootigeey's designs they are GREAT!!

He attended before we even thought about going. It is so not fair. I read somewhere he had a crazy fan one year at SSW so decided not to come back :sad2:.

Thank you so much for joining us. Next installment coming right up.

There was much discussion between Bill and I in the week before Bill’s parents came to visit. What should we say? Talk about the upcoming trip only or spill the beans and let them know about past trips too? I had casually mentioned Bill and me talking about going to WDW when we were at their home last Christmas. I was met with a look of horror on his Mom’s face, her shaking her head and saying she thought that would be way too much trouble and work for me. Little did she know I had done this twice in less than a year :rolleyes1 . So after debating it, we decided to just talk about this trip, yes I know we are still omitting things, but I don’t want to bombard them with all this stuff and I was chicken to see what the reaction would be (scared smiley) .

I decided to order the Open Mouse Passporter and was patiently waiting for September to come to get it. On August 29th, I got an email from the Passporter website, my tip was chosen as the “tip of the month”. It was in their August 30th newsletter and I won a FREE Passporter :cheer2:. I was on a roll in the month of August, first the great code for the vacation package, a very cheap PassPorter, then I won a free one.

I decided to pick the new 2008 PassPorter that comes out in November. I can use it for the next trip. This could be in May (Star Wars Weekend), Aug-Sept (possible free dining), November (SSW again), or December (my birthday and seeing all the Christmas decorations). We have not decided yet :confused3 .

(Heck, I have to get through the planning, packing, etc of this trip first. I am NOT as talented as other Disser’s planning multiple trips at once)

Here is a picture of my planning books, yes some 2006 books but works well for me. More money to spend on WDW that way!!

This put me in a great mood thinking maybe things would work themselves out. We also decided I would be the one to tell them. See with Bill’s speech impediment it is easier to understand him if you are around him daily. They still understand him very well, but instead of them asking him to possibly repeat again and again, I was chosen to be the one to say “WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY!!” I was hoping my infectious excitement :yay: about the trip would be enough to have them not totally get upset about things.

Labor Day arrives, they live 3 hours away from us and call on the way, “let’s meet for lunch”, his Mom says. Ok this is it, this is when we will tell them, in the restaurant when they are eating something sweet and sinful. (Ok, yes I decided to wait until they were on a sugar high, I need all the help I can get here).

We sit down, we eat, we chit chat about Honduras, all the things his Mom has going on, them building a vacation home in the Smokie Mountains (tell me is it Smokey Mountains, Smokie Mountains, or something else – feeling really dumb here and apologize to those in that area for my ignorance). We talked about Bill only having one class this semester and it being online only. Then this question comes from his Mom… “What will you two do with your time?” Bill and I look at each other and grin like big goofballs. His Dad laughs and says “what’s up”. Bill says “we are going on vacation”. (Hey I thought I was supposed tell them??) Well, wouldn’t you know it they both understood that sentence perfectly well :scared: .

Next installment… Why are they looking at us like we are crazy?

Yeah, but I served my time for that, so he shouldn't hold that against me!:rotfl2:
