Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

Jordan, it will have to be one like him, we wouldn't trade him for a Billion dollars.

I'll keep an eye out for you and Bill. Hopefully I won't have a "shy" attack. Once you get to know me I don't shut up but it's hard for me to make that initial move - although it's not too hard when I'm at Disney "my happy place!"

As soon as I learn how to upload? download? photos I'll post one of my Sadie.

I am the same way about being shy. We won't bite, I promise. If I see you I will say hi.

What a cutie Ace is, very photogenic...love the Mickey hat...to cute...I stink at Photoshop.

Love the pic of Josh holding him with the look help me and the one under the bed.

How is the packing going..have you started...and lucky you get an hour extra since we set the clock back on Saturday.

I know I am a little silly to take so many pictures of him, but he is hilarious.

I have actually started packing, but will not pack Bill's shirts until Wednesday. His mom always has treated him like a child because of his disability. He wants to make his own decisions on what he wants to wear for the trip. I made a mistake today in trying to pack some of his stuff, there was a little disagreement:rolleyes1 , so I am waiting until Wednesday for him.

Good for you...always told my parents when I was teaching...make sure you do not treat your child and different from their siblings. They still have to learn...just may take longer or a different way.

I pack because usually DH is working tons of hours..but if home he will pack with me nagging him :rotfl2: come honey lets go you are to slow. Maybe that is why I do it more often.

His wanting to be independent and my panic/control freak/wanting to get it all done now attitude just clashed there for about 15 minutes loudly :lmao:.

Love the great pictures of Ace! Such a cutie! We had all but one of our animals before we had Samantha and we have way more pictures of them than Samantha. Sad, but true! :)

Seriously, I'm gonna come live w/ you! Ace has a beautiful bed and you feed him steak! I used to take pictures of our bulldog all of the time because she hated the camera!:rolleyes1

I pack for everyone! Dave prefers it and so do I!

Morning everyone! Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a great week--esp those of you who are getting ready to leave for WDW very very soon! So jealous!

Ace is absolutely precious and so photogenic. Give him extra hugs from all of us.

Oh goodness Tracy and Bill! How excited are you? Packing is absolutely the best part of pre-trip prep...I know, so sad. But its when I get the clothes in the bag that I realize I'm really going! The hardest part is figuring out what shoes to bring (or rather how many!)

Don't forget to pack some rain gear...it looks like there may be some wet weather down there this weekend...or at least that's what my NY weather guy said this morning. Raining or not, have a great time!:cool1:

Now I just have to get a certain BF to start packing...he packs the night before. It drives me crazy.

Hi Tracy! Haven't seen ya much. You'd think you're busy or something!:rotfl2:

I wanted to stop by and tell you to have a FABULOUS and SAFE trip. Take lots of pictures and good notes cause we want to hear everything! Enjoy SSW and don't get trampled!!!!

Thank you Michelle. We have been taking Ace to the doggy daycare for a couple of hours every day this week to get him in the groove staying there again while we are at DISNEY!!

I finally got Bill to pick out the clothes he wants to take to DISNEY WORLD. I am washing one last load of clothes and it all gets packed tonight :yay:.

Last year when we went to POR I had the real cheap ponchos from Walmart. Well they were in the room that first night when they had us in the farthest set of buildings away from the food court, which we were at when the monsoon came pouring down :umbrella: . We went to the shop there and purchased 2 Mickey Ponchos (had to, to protect Bill's wheelchair). Then it immediately stopped raining and did not rain on us the rest of the trip. Those ponchos are in Bill's back pack at this very moment :thumbsup2 .

Love the pictures of Ace! What a cutie! :goodvibes

Thank you Amy, we hate leaving him when we go to DISNEY WORLD. I like hearing on the pre trip reports how others decide what to do with their pets when they go away.

Hi Tracy! How are you doing? Nice and calm I hope!
FOUR MORE DAYS!!!!

Hi Michelle, I am sorry for not replying yesterday, now it is 3 more days :rotfl:, almost 2 :cool1:. I am actually not panicking, can you believe that?

Are you getting excited?:woohoo:

Jordan we are beyond excited. We are insanely happy right now!!

Okay, I just stopped by to wish you a great, wonderful, and magical trip! :dance3:

Pittypat, Thank you so much for the well wishes, it makes us so happy to see that people are being so nice to us!!

Hi Monica!! Busy? Why would I be busy:rolleyes1? Thank you so much. I will bore you with so many pictures it will be ridiculous. Bill says he is going to remind me to take notes daily :rotfl:, this from someone who thought I was crazy to ask him to join the DIS. Oh, we won't get trampled, Bill can't stop immediately and people better know to stay out of our way... BILL COMING THROUGH!!!

:cheer2: You guys have an awesome trip. I wont be on again before u guys go because I will be in nashville all weekend meeting Robert whom I met on these boards so have a fun and safe trip! Talk to you when u return!:wizard:

Well I was informed on KathyRN’s pre trip report that there is a “requisite pre-departure crisis”.

The Bad News…

Bill took his mid term last week. It was an open notes test. Most tests take him longer because he doesn’t write his answers, he can write, but his hand cramps up really badly. He does his tests on a computer. He was there for 6 HOURS. I have never seen him work that long on a test. He told me afterwards, there were things on the test that they had not been gone over and he could not find anything about them on the notes.

This week he gets an email from the teacher. The original teacher for this class passed away this summer, so the teacher that took over didn’t really look at the test before using it. (This class was changed to online because there was a shortage of classrooms). EVERYONE in the class flunked the test :scared1:. He sent the test again, this time as a do at home, you can use your notes, books, class info online, etc. They have until Monday at 10pm to do it. We are leaving our home at 11am Friday :scared: . Needless to say Bill is stressed right now and it was hard for me to be asking last minute questions about packing, etc :sad2: .

The Good News…

I have everything purchased for this trip :). I have all my clothes packed. I have all the toiletries, and Bill’s medical necessities packed. I have one load of laundry :laundy: drying right now and then all of Bill’s clothes will be packed. I will put most of the suitcases in the van tomorrow and then tidy up the house and stare at the clock until time to go to bed tomorrow night.

Then I will not sleep and stare at the clock for a couple of hours. As I drift off finally to sleep the alarm will go off alerting me it is time to get up and finish packing the last minute things and take Ace to Animal Crackers.

We will head toward St. Louis, where we will check in to the hotel and head over to the Disney Store :yay:. We are going to see if we can start our DISNEY purchases early, then we are going to go to the Cheesecake factory for dinner.

Then we are going back to the hotel where Bill will watch tv :happytv: and I will go over lists out loud and in my head until bed time. I will repeat the same staring at the clock not sleeping thing as the night before, then it will be 4:30am and time to get up to get ready to take the shuttle to the airport, then off to DISNEY WORLD ::MickeyMo !!!

My Hopes and Wishes:

- Wish myself luck, praying that I don’t have a nervous breakdown before we get there  .

- Hope that Bill remembers I am pooh sized and doesn’t kick his wheelchair up into high gear and leave me with blisters, sore calf muscles, an aching back, and a sore throat for cussing at him. (I have to remind myself there is NO cussing at WDW ;) )

- Hope that we get the necessary requests we made and the room works for us :goodvibes .
- Wish that we get to meet some Dis’ers :disrocks: !!
- Hope I remember to get a margarita the first night at Capt’n Jacks :drinking1

- Wish that things go smoothly on the SSW days and Bill gets to meet Michael E. Knight again :thumbsup2.

We wanted to have Bill’s last post for his side of the November 2006 trip before we left, but I don’t know if that will happen due to the test coming back to haunt him :worried: . I think he is going to try to post something at least one more time before the trip, but don’t hold me to it.

Again, thank you all so much for reading and replying to us. I adore all of you!! :grouphug:

I totally feel for you... I was so stressed those last couple days before the trip, but once I was on that plane, I was on holiday! :cloud9: Everything will go perfectly... and the things that don't go perfectly will just make for an interesting story afterwards  Try and relax, tell Bill good luck on his test and both of you, have a wonderful, fabulous dream filled trip pixiedust: You guys deserve it!

Tell Bill I am sorry about the test...it is his professor's fault...should have gone over the test before giving it out.

Yummy Cheesecake Factory.

Take a deep breath and then let it out..everything will go smoothly...you are almost there..can you feel it?

Tell my old employers at the Cheesecake Factory that I still don't miss working for them.;)

Must....not....talk.....about......school.....tests......flunking.........:headache:

Sorry I was having flashbacks to my college days.

I'm hoping that everything goes smoothly on your trip.:thumbsup2 Even if it doesn't, you're on vacation...enjoy.:)
