Accumulating Direct points to hit 150?

I was thinking you needed to buy 150 min direct points to get the blue card. But then saw on the DVC site it said accumulated points.


So my question is could i buy a 75 point direct contract now and then 6 months later buy another 75 point contract direct points and get a blue card?

I understand that would be two closing cost. Which would be fine

Looking at Rivera so that is the main reason for direct. Thanks for the help

Are you already a DVC member? There is a minimum number of points which you must purchase initially if buying direct. For RIV, I believe it is 100 points. If you're already a member (even with as little as 25 points resale) you can purchase smaller contracts.

Assuming they don't raise the minimum in the meantime to 175 or 200. Considering it has gone from 75 to 150 in 2 years, it's not out of the realm of possibility for them to keep raising it more.

No, they won’t let you purchase a first contract smaller than 150 points anymore.

New buyers must purchase at least 150 in a single contract. They will not sell you less any longer and of course, It comes with eligibility to membership perks.

Current owners can add on direct for less than that so they could work to to the 150.

At one time, the minimum for purchase was not the same as minimum for membership perks, but that changed last June.

if you own a resale contract you can add on direct in small increments otherwise New buyers must buy 150 minimum
